I still don't think that's all the levels in each world, because that's barely even half of the 120 levels they're promising, and your calculations are a bit off, as 20,000 Lums Under the Sea has 6 regular levels, excluding the boss level, and we didn't get to see any other levels because they didn't show them. I hope they do the two phases thing from RO, but do it better and make more levels for each world. Either it's that or the demo they got for that video doesn't have all the levels.

Anyway, we should start speculating about the mysterious 6th world. Here are some of my ideas:
A world related to Mr. Dark.
A world retelling the first three Rayman games.
Something involving the Rabbids.
The Land of the Livid Dead.
Or none of the above, and it's something totally unexpected.

What do you guys think it will be?

it was an estimate. but yeah they said it would be "retro" and realistic, so i could imagine a world referenced to past rayman games... i HIGHLY doubt TLOTLD since that isn't realistic, and isn't very retro. maybe an ACTUAL realistic world like some of the areas shown in the first trailer for rayman origins. although i wouldn't be a big fan of that since i like the unique hand drawn worlds.

There isn't much, actually. Well, at least until the 8th. Don't see you coming up with any ideas for it, either.

Well, we can discuss if Rayman's gigantic cock advertised during Rayman 3 can be considered canon.

OK, I JUST FOUND OUT THE MAGICIAN DOES COME BACK FOR THE 5TH WORLD. ok, at the end of the mecha dragon battle, you send the magician flying into space. well, i've seen this interview with emile many times, yet i've never noticed that at 11:01, he says ''he actually comes back'' talking about the magician. here's the link for the interview. so, we have enough proof at this point to conclude that, the magician IS the main villain in the game! he's been seen in the 4th world, the second world, and supposedly in olympus maximus to strike back a fifth time! so i guess i made a topic to talk about? :mryellow:

And we have seen the Toad Story cutscene, where he ties a teensie. I guess you are right. I didn't expect that he would be the main enemy.

That Kung Foot footage has been already posted and discussed.

By the way, Chris McEntee is going to post soon his column about level design.

I find this quite interesting:
Our creative director, the legendary Michel Ancel, stated at the beginning of Legends that he wanted this game to be to Rayman Origins what Rayman 2: The Great Escape was to the original Rayman; not an easy undertaking, if you ask me.

I can definitely see this happening. There's no way the game is going to be as groundbreaking or nostalgic like Rayman 2 was, but when compared to Origins, it's probably going to beat it in every way.

I'd love to hear what Ancel thinks Rayman 2 is to Rayman 1 – that relationship is notorious and everyone seems to have their own take on it.

I tell ya, a jump from 2D to 3D in a franchise can be a bad thing, even fatal. Like what happened to Earthworm Jim. Luckily this wasn't the case with Rayman 2.

Same thing here. It is interesting how Rayman Legends does shares some resemblings with R2 while RO was with R1. I would like to learn about more details.

20 seconds in you can see a screen with The Magician tying up a Teensie on it. BTW, Sergio, I saw you on the challenges app.

Indeed, I'm back :P and yeah, the challenges are fun again when you play them after a long time.

You're not like me, then. I play the challenges app every day, though I do admit, it is getting pretty boring, especially after the 50th time you've played the Neverending Pit.

I have a few Murfy related things to talk about here. One, has it been confirmed that you can play as Murfy in every level, or can you only play as him in some levels? It feels like I could get a lot more Lums in Toad Story (Or the first level of Toad Story, that is) if I had Murfy and could get some extra Lums from things.

Two, We've only seen two Murfy centered levels, the Deadly Lights and Once Upon A Time, but we have seen both of their paintings, and they both have Murfy on them, so I'm guessing that all the other Murfy levels will have Murfy on their paintings.

And Three, I got a new kitten and named it Murfy.

The problem is that many of these franchises stick too much to their old ideas. Rayman had major changes done to the basic formula, for much better results.

If they had tried to force Rayman 1's gameplay into 3D, they'd just be pulling a Sonic, maybe even a Bubsy.

Oh, by "after a long time" I mean after I stopped playing the challenges for some months. They became fun again.

If you play those challenges in a continuous non-stop, you'll probably get sick of them.
