Besides, If < began beating his sister, <'s mother would brand him a woman basher, like she did my father, even if < was doing it in self defence.
Violence isn't my thing either, but when my cousin hit me at times for no reason, I finally hit him back, and he stopped. So the same logic may apply here. Not saying you need to be violent, but show she can't push you around.
