They have a cool sound to them, don't they? I especially like Bohemian Like You and We Used to Be Friends.DesLife wrote:Dandy Warhols

I really like Parklife, Coffee and TV, Boys and Girls and that one about some guy in a bar whose name I forgot.Rulez wrote:I feel so fucking stupid for never really listening to Blur. I love Albarn's vocals in Gorillaz, why the fuck did I skip on Blur? Fuck!
This is what I felt like when I listened to Gorrilaz last year properly for the first time, after being a big Blur fan for years. Like both of them equally now <3Rulez wrote:I feel so fucking stupid for never really listening to Blur. I love Albarn's vocals in Gorillaz, why the fuck did I skip on Blur? Fuck!

Blur is good stuff man. There's an article about them in the latest Q magazine which talked about the troubles of the band and the big competition with Suede. Apparently, they almost lost their career at one point, which would most likely have meant that Blur's discography would only be a quarter of it's size and Gorillaz may never have existed. Fuck. And on the topic of Damon Albarn: He's working on a solo "folk soul" album!Rulez wrote:I feel so fucking stupid for never really listening to Blur. ...and the same Q magazine also happened to have a special article dedicated to their interview with Daft Punk. Interesting stuff. They sound real dedicated to their work, and confirmed that RAM is not their last album, but that they currently have no interest about what the future for Daft Punk will be like. With the unexpected sound of RAM, I really wonder what a fifth album could bring to the table.saerleiya wrote:Daft Punk - Lose yourself to Dance.
I advice people who still haven't been listening to Random Access Memories to do so. I warn : it's remaining in the style of Daft Punk, but with a great touch of 80's music, guest singers, new fresh and simple sound effects. They are still innovating and this is a masterpiece. I bet this is worth the waiting (8 years without an album, considering Alvie is live album and Tron : Legacy is an OST album...).

I agree, but I liked hearing what he was singing for once.Rulez wrote:I love its sound. Oh and of course how the normal vocals come back at "for me". It's neat as fuck.
