Eh, I can't say I was a brilliant student in philosophy (or that my teacher was entertaining while explaining the stuff) but at least she was showing movies to us that focused in a philosophical theme.OldClassicGamer wrote:That used to be my favourite Class of them all back in High School days. I was originally going to create another full-length reply to your latest post, but I figured my time would be better spent doing this:Son of Dark wrote:I'm really insulted, I believe my theories to be logical

Back in my old Primary and High Schools, during the end of the Summer Term, when the exams were done, some teachers would put on any film, though of course, some kept on teaching, given that there was preparation needed for the next year.
Though now, in College/Grade 11, we've just been starting the stuff for the next year.

Yes, I was born in England, I was born in Nottingham, then moved to Northampton when I was still a baby, at the age of 6 we moved to Birmingham and at 13 we moved (and this move was the most depressing time of my life as I loved and miss my old house, the neighborhood and the rest) to Hertfordshire, which I hate.
You may not know all these places if you haven't been in this country, but they're all in England.

So you've just done your GCSEs then, and thus an important day looms for you come August 22nd, no?
I've just done my first year in College/Sixth Form.

Acknowledged of course, though I don't know what 'just being human' has to do with this.Son of Dark wrote:At the end of the day, I don't want our beliefs on fate to cause us to be unfriendly, and you're right, you're lectures, (some stuff you say is explained and I've acknowledged your information) won't change my view on the matter, we are only human
Well that's certainly not a response I was hoping to hear.OldClassicGamer wrote:That used to be my favourite Class of them all back in High School days. Why? Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Same thing here. I wasn't a major fan of the philosophy classes but I wouldn't be stupid either in falling asleep during classes (especially in the 10th grade, where the teacher was also our Class Director). But if I compare the marks I had in my high school course, Philosophy is one of the subjects that harmed more my average.Adsolution wrote:Well that's certainly not a response I was hoping to hear.

Results day, how horrible... Still, I must have done well!
So do you only have 2 years in college as well?

Thinking you're such a special snowflake that strangers on the internet care how well you did in science class and want to see scans of your exam papers.emshomar wrote:Are you serious?! I just want to give a proof of my grade. Where's the big deal?!

Sadly the youngest generations often forget how the internet can be a dangerous tool...
Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
I would never upload any document on internet. Never.

Daily doldrum? Being fucking bored. Still a full month left here, and I still don't know what direction is going to be taking, but it seems to be leaning towards a likely immigration back to the United States, and I don't even want to think about that.

Meh, when you're bored basically all the time like I am you learn to get used to it. [Insert moar 4n957]Keane wrote:Daily doldrum? Being fucking bored. Looks like a really interesting movie. I'm actually very interested in philosophy and my therapist actually told me jokingly that I should be a philosopher. I wasn't aware that my broodiness was wise and angsty enough to the point that I could become a philosopher.Haruka wrote:Eh, I can't say I was a brilliant student in philosophy (or that my teacher was entertaining while explaining the stuff) but at least she was showing movies to us that focused in a philosophical theme.OldClassicGamer wrote:That used to be my favourite Class of them all back in High School days. The movie is interesting, it focuses in how your decisions can drastically affect your life.
