Re: Rayman Legends
We've got some really awesome ideas here, maybe we should just take writing duties.

It's like playing with cute little toys and letting the imagination fly along.

We should write the next Rayman game and just fill it with lots of references to the previous games.Master wrote:We've got some really awesome ideas here, maybe we should just take writing duties.

Re: Rayman Legends
Imagine that, Michel grabs the entire RPC community to help with the next Rayman game, I think we can easily say that'd be one hell of a chaotic game.
Re: Rayman Legends
Why do I have feeling that many of user's OC's would be included if something like that happened?

What about the smutfic writers?

The only way to make the game more masturbatory would be to enlist Shawn to design it.OldClassicGamer wrote:Why do I have feeling that many of user's OC's would be included if something like that happened?

Let's call it Revenge of the Dark and set it between Raymen 1 and 2!Bionichute wrote:We should write the next Rayman game and just fill it with lots of references to the previous games.Master wrote:We've got some really awesome ideas here, maybe we should just take writing duties.

Re: Rayman Legends
Maybe I'm a little bit late but I'd like to know if anyone agrees with this theory: [I think there's a small problem with the idea of a "cult" of Dark Teensies. First of all... let's check the design of the Magician as a whole.]

[Let's remember how all of the Teensies in the Rayman Universe look, and how the Magician is entirely different to them. As we all know, The magician is the only Teensie to not feature a small spiral surroinding his nose, but a strange blob in the middle of it. While it may enforce the idea that "Dark Teensies" are a different race of teensies, let's remember that the Magician actually started as a good guy, so we can't qualify subspecies of teensies as "born to be good/bad". My actual theory is that the Magician just cloned himself after being able to learn magic (remember that he turned Rayman into a duck), and since he's still obsessed with the idea of being like Mr Dark, he prefer his newborn clones to be called Dark Teensies.]
I dare to say that Rayman Legends has the BEST version of Polokus. The Polokus in Rayman 2 was... you know... "The Glaaaade neeeeds you Rayman, saaaave uuuuus"... and the Polokus in Origins was totally balls up the walls. In Rayman Legends, his intro was just... epic. I love that he acts like an actual wise old man who knows the Glade and loves his creations, I love that he's aware when things are going wrong, I love his adorable giggle when he notices how sleepy Rayman is, and I specially love how truly believable is the relationship that he holds with Murfy, who acts like his scaredy-but-loyal assistant and his closest friend. It's just incredibly well detailed and properly executed.

To be fair... there is one, and let's be honest... it's way better than the crappy fanfiction-like plotline that Rayman Origins proposed. The story is simple, but functional, and the characters have even more personality than before.spiraldoor wrote:Does this game even have a plot?

I prefer Bubble Dreamer design in Origins/Legends then Rayman 2 and I love his personality in Legends. I agree with you, he is epic.

Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah Sergio I agree with your theory sounds believable. Also I actually do prefer the Bubble Dreamer design over the R2 one.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, now that I think about it, my theory fits almost perfectly with spiraldoor's theory about evilness spreading like a virus (I didn't put that in transparent text, since I only mentioned something already known about the plot)
I also heard Haruka is disappointed with the amount of levels
Well Haruka, If I do my math correctly, the game still has a pretty big amount of levels. Let's remember that 60 levels makes enough for a full game, and Rayman Origins proves that. If that's not enough for you, half of the levels will feature an invasion mode (which, if I'm not wrong, are the last 30 levels of the game), and are basically like the comets in Mario Galaxy: after you finish a level, you are introduced into a new level with the same settings but with different objectives. The attack of different enemies, new platforms, and the excellent remixes (mexican version of Once Upon a Time, for example) will probably be enough to give a completely different experience.
We have 40 levels from Origins, but that's not a big problem... especially when they're a bonus and you're not forced to play them
You still have 90 gorgeous levels in the main campaign.
Also, we have Kung Foot, a Challenge Mode, The biggest selection of characters in the Rayman series, and some sort of bingo-thing where you pay (probably lums) to get tickets to unlock stuff, like the Origins levels. It also has a gallery of "Creatures", which probably means we'll finally have a gallery that explores the Glade of Dreams' beautiful fauna :'D and probably collect more creatures with those tickets.
EDIT: I found this,
Apparently, it's some french reporter talking about Legends. Not a big spoiler, but it shows some new levels.
-Blue Teensie Wizard confirmed to return as a playable character.
-Goth Barbara?
-Apparently, Tricky Treasure Chests will be back in Back to Origins
-Baby Dragon Chefs return as enemies on the main Legends campaign.

Re: Rayman Legends
Where'd you get all this info about the creatures? The achievements list is the first time I've ever heard of them, unless I missed an interview or something.sergiomonty wrote:It also has a gallery of "Creatures", which probably means we'll finally have a gallery that explores the Glade of Dreams' beautiful fauna :'D and probably collect more creatures with those tickets.
Also I wouldn't consider these things beautiful.

This is when "probably" becomes a keyword in my phrase. And while that creature looks awful, we could be dealing with some amazing designs when the game is released....Bionichute wrote:Where'd you get all this info about the creatures? Well...
of course... if... the collection of creatures is what I expect... Because I don't want to just collect many copies of that ugly thing and make myself a raymanian Chao Garden.

They all appear to be based around the same model, but with different features. I personally think they're in the "Ugly Cute" range of cute (Which is the best kind of cute). If they do have a gallery for them, it would be nice to give them names and little personalities.
You also forgot to mention Glombrox and weird armor Rayman in the video.

Re: Rayman Legends
Okay then... we got a Raymanian Chao Garden u_u
EDIT:
Guys... I think we shouldn't take the Dark Teensies thing too literal. After all, the achievement about saving Barbara is described as "Free The Barbarian princess". Both "The" and "Barbarian" capitalized. Just saying.

French is sure sounding pretty different today.sergiomonty wrote:Apparently, it's some french reporter talking about Legends. Not a big spoiler, but it shows some new levels.
The new stuff looks nice though!
