Rayman Records

Post by Rayrobi »

Hi everyone

I was wondering whether or not a Record book would be good to exist on pirate community, which would not only contain the Rayman 3 and Origins records ( as PC already does ), but might also increase the replays of various Rayman games, and which might be some sort of competition/contest for us all. I thought it would be just great to store every single record here in this topic, in separated posts, to make it simple.

The main thing would be, that for most of the record-possible levels, there would be a bronze, silver and gold ( and even a diamond ) trophy set by me, ( and or other member(s) ) that You can earn by beating it's requirement, and have it proved by photo ( and/or video if required ). You can earn bronze and silver trophies easily through normal play, gold trophies will be harder, but diamond trophies will put your skills to the test. By earning trophies, you can earn lums. The more lums you have, the more Tings you can earn.

For example: Bronze trophies are worth 5 lums, silver are worth 15, gold are worth 30 lums and diamond are 50 lums. When you have reached a certain amount of lums, you increase your awesomeness rank and earn tings. For example, when you reach, say 1000 lums, you get plus 100 tings and increase you rank to level 1 etc.
As you progress and earn more trophies, each level will be harder to reach but will reward you more tings of course.

I thought about weekly challanges in which you can also earn trophies, which will arrive each week, like in the upcoming Rayman Legends. Daily challanges require too much activity, so those have not been kept in mind.

So, what do you think about this? If you agree with this, like the idea, i will consult Humch, and start to publish the trophy requirements and the records of course.

I like the idea, though it may be difficult to get moving. Even much simpler contests like SOTM and Manipulate The Image hardly receive much attention anymore. If only the community were a bit larger.

Right, and topics like the Rayman M scores ended up dying due to lack of interest from the community in general too.

That's true, but there weren't such reward system in Rayman M/Origins as there is in Rayman 3's scores.

This Records idea has officially been confirmed, that is the topic, and you can submit your Rayman M scores there. ;)

If that's the case, then this thread should be locked, no?
