Re: Jak and Daxter
I have to agree with Master. I did have good time playing it but it is weakest Jak game.

Hm, felt like sprucing the topic up a bit, I've added a poll, you can choose your favourite game from there.

Re: Jak and Daxter
I only heard of it but I never played it. I probably need to get the first games for PS2 and try them out. I suppose it is almost the same as Ratchet and Clank, because I saw a promo in Ratchet and Clank 2.

Re: Jak and Daxter
No, it isn't almost the same as Ratchet and Clank, not at all, they only share similarities in genre, the way they approach and present are different.
Re: Jak and Daxter
Character designs are similar between R&C and J&D
Gameplay, not so much.

Re: Jak and Daxter
Jak focuses alot more on platforming than R and C

I can't fucking stand when people compare Jak and Ratchet so much, they are 2 completely different games with completely different platforming elements.Master wrote:No, it isn't almost the same as Ratchet and Clank, not at all, they only share similarities in genre, the way they approach and present are different.

Re: Jak and Daxter
I can't stand it when people call them Jack and Dexter
Re: Jak and Daxter
Who does that?
Re: Jak and Daxter
Quite a few people, really

Re: Jak and Daxter
Indeed, it is a horrible comparison that could influence people who haven't seen the series themselves, like I said above, they're just in the same genre, the relationship between them is the same as that between Crash and Spyro, and they're hardly similar now, eh?Rayfist wrote:I can't fucking stand when people compare Jak and Ratchet so much, they are 2 completely different games with completely different platforming elements.Master wrote:No, it isn't almost the same as Ratchet and Clank, not at all, they only share similarities in genre, the way they approach and present are different.
Anyways, I've been messing around with invulnerability in TLF, blimey the game is a cinch when one doesn't need to worry about taking damage.

Crash and Spyro GBA crossovers were terrible

Re: Jak and Daxter
I wouldn't know, I'm merely stating that Jak and Ratchet have the same relationship as Crash and Spyro did, they'd reference each other now and then, their devs are good friends, but besides that, they're both individual games with their own styles.

Re: Jak and Daxter
I look forward to it, I've never tried 'em out myself, so it'll be interesting to see what you have to say for it.
Re: Jak and Daxter
I actually liked those games as a kid. I had the Spyro version and my friend got Crash. i think the sheer epicness of Crash and Spyro crossing over as well as the trading card element overwhelmed the mediocrity of the minigames for us
Re: Jak and Daxter
My little bro likes them for same reason
