They send a verification code you need to enter to the number you provide, if memory serves.

There should be option when they tell you video is long that you can extend it by entering mobile phone. Check account settings and see why are unlimited uploads not green.

There should be some text asking if you want to increase your limit on the upload page, it should have a link to the verification.

If you guys are still discussing Vegas v Windows Movie Maker, I can tell you that there's a free program called Lightworks that's actually quite advanced and useful. Apparently it's been used in big movie titles too, but I'll leave the decision-making up to you.

It's unbelievably irritating. Even Facebook is less obvious when it comes to collecting your information. They're trying hard to create a reputation of a good company that enjoys interaction with its users by doing things like April Fools jokes and The Internship (Which I've heard is a shitty movie, but I already figured that out considering the cast) but their commercial side shines trough too much.

And the Google+ bullshit on YouTube should come to an end as well. It's unappealing, and just like the OneChannel layout Google proves that they have no idea how to handle social media and hope that by shoving it in your face and basically bribing you (Being allowed to change your username if you connect G+) into using it is not going to change anything.
