Re: Rayman M-Arena
According to UbiSoft, Arena an M are same games.
Not sure about Rush. It looks like a half port for PS1

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Rayman M, Arena and Rush are ALL different games.. The tracks are them same, but everything else differs.OldClassicGamer wrote:According to UbiSoft, Arena an M are same games.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Well to put it:
Rayman M (PC, PS2) = Rayman Arena (PC, PS2) (Barring the exclusive LAN on Arena PC)
Besides that, they're all different.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
They should do a HD remake of this game like AoE B-)

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Alongside the other Rayman games (and properly done, not like Rayman 3HD).
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Yeah, that elucidates everything. My theory was that Rayman M (PC, PS2) and Rayman Arena (xBox, GC) are different.Master wrote:Well to put it:

That would be really great.Raylex wrote:They should do a HD remake of this game like AoE B-)
Re: Rayman M-Arena
What's up with the HD remake of Rayman 3?

Re: Rayman M-Arena
It really wasn't up to scratch, some compare it with Rayman DS as one of the worst ports done in the Rayman series, it had various graphical glitches, and one heck of a game breaking glitch as well.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Weren't the textures also actually worse than before?
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I've barely ever seen good HD remake. Most of the time it's a waste of money. Serious Sam HD was good though.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
I own the Jak HD collection, and barring one quirk, it's pretty much a quality HD port.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
If the older Rayman games would ever be remade, they would not only need a hd remake, but every element of them had to be redone, the levels, the characters, textures etc.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
So it would be more of a remaster than remake, though I'd love to see Rayman 1 with high quality artwork that would do well on HD screens.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Not that remasterization Ubi said to have done with R3HD's musics.Master wrote:So it would be more of a remaster than remake, though I'd love to see Rayman 1 with high quality artwork that would do well on HD screens.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Rayman 1 Remastered needs to happen.

They claimed to have done up the musical quality? I can't remember that, could you remind this ol' codger?

Even Droolie ( i think it was he) confirmed that it is the same audio as in Rayman 3.

Ah yes, now I remember, didn't some mistake it for them changing the sound effects to goofier 'uns?

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Our team has been planning this as a side-project for quite a while now. While I can't say any more than that for the time being, it is something we'll be working on.Master wrote:So it would be more of a remaster than remake, though I'd love to see Rayman 1 with high quality artwork that would do well on HD screens.

I think they did make some minor changes. If I'm right, it's either one or multiple of these three:Rayrobi wrote:Even Droolie ( i think it was he) confirmed that it is the same audio as in Rayman 3.
- Not all tracks were exported in 44.1khz; some were in 22.05
- They upgraded the quality from 44.1 to 48k
- Not all versions of the game ran in 44.1khz
In fact, all of these might be incorrect, yet they all ring a bell for some reason.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Hopefully, it wont end like Sonic2HD. Well as long as none of people uses some DRM protection it will be fine. Sonic2HD could not be saved because one programmer from team implemented some DRM before he left development.Adsolution wrote:Our team has been planning this as a side-project for quite a while now.
