Age of Empires II

Post by Hunchman801 »

As Raylex pointed out, there's currently a 50% discount on Steam for Age of Empires II HD. Never played this remake, but since I feel like playing this again it's the occasion to give it a try! We once organised an awesome tournament in the French section, maybe we could do the same here. Let us know if you're interested!

I am, of course, interested :)

If we can find 2 others interested people, let's grab the 4 pack. It'll cost you only 7€ ($10). Who's in? :D

Too bad for you!

Yesterday Hunch and me played a 2-hours-long game. It was fun although he literally kicked me out of the surface of the map :)

I really wish I had found this topic earlier, pre-ordered AoE2HD when it was originally announced on Steam.
Damn fine series they've got themselves there.

Of course, would be great if there was a stable community of people who played it.

They're all pretty good games if you're into the strategy game stuff. The campaigns are especially good, they're not all that far off from what actually happened, and a good bit of fun. Best part about them, though, is the custom maps and multiplayer. Surprisingly large fanbase for a series like that.

I haven't played AoEII in ages. Would have been fun to give it a go again sometime, but I'm worried I wouldn't have enough time to get any good. :P

Hum, I can't say I don't want to, but I'm currently really into Wildstar and the Multiplayer mode of Mass Effect 3. But it seems i'm alone on this forum about that xD.

Even better, it's now -75% if you buy it quick enough (46 hours left). Worth giving it a try!

You're welcome.

In fact, I just bought it. (It slipped my mind last time.) But hey, I got a better sale deal this time around. :)
