It's true, though.spiraldoor wrote:This is the least interesting explanation imaginable.
Re: Rayman Legends
Yet it's also the most likely one. I'm pretty sure the developers don't have any other explanation in mind.spiraldoor wrote:This is the least interesting explanation imaginable.Bradandez wrote:Back to Origins is just an extra feature for us to play. Nothing more.

The whole fucking game is a feature for us to play.Bionichute wrote:It's true, though.spiraldoor wrote:This is the least interesting explanation imaginable.

Re: Rayman Legends
Concurred, though I'd like to think that BTO serves more of a purpose, from what we've seen, it seems to be just a neat extra.

Oh god this again, I can't breathe.
Re: Rayman Legends
Aw shit, Teensy porn. Saw it on tumblr already. But funny nonetheless.
Edit: Here's a playthrough of the first few levels of Teensies in Trouble (Spoilers): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuDAWU5APxo

Wow, I think this game proved to be a lot of fun with 5 players, and I must say 16:40 when they were trying to reach the skull coin had me dying.Bradandez wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuDAWU5APxo
And I must say, [Murfy being able to grab the Skull coins on the wii-U version looks like it'd be pretty damn easy.]
I also had no clue [You had to RESCUE Barbara, I thought she was unlocked from the get go.]

Re: Rayman Legends
I honestly thought that once you unlocked the door for the princesses, they'd just unlock them immediately, [I didn't really expect that it would unlock a new level.]
Re: Rayman Legends
[Apparently it's a world within a world. As when you're near the door it says Rescue Barbara, but the level's name is Dungeon Dash.]

Re: Rayman Legends
I gotta be honest... I'm now really starting to regret giving up my pre-order on the Wii U version for the PC version, oh well, I'll still get the Wii U version at one point...

Wii U version does seem like it's gonna be the most fun to play. Bah, I'll get a Wii U on Black Friday since I'm saving up for.Rayfist wrote:I gotta be honest... Re: Rayman Legends
Listening to the guy being so overly hyped about Murfy's gameplay in the gamepad and calling it innovative makes me happy. Seems like Ubisoft finally found the perfect way to show off the Wii U's capabilities. Also, I find hilarious the fact that they turned "Murfy" into a verb, so when you want to pull a Skull Coin and make it easier to reach, you just "Murfy" it.
Also... that level design... MAN... those placements for the secrets, MAN. There's certainly a lot more to do and explore than before!
The Wii U version of Rayman Legends seems really passionate... like, the developers really put their hearts and minds into that touchscreen. Unlike Origins, this is not just about kicking the crap out of every moving object. Some Teensy challenges actually test your mind, and I don't know how many replacements those developers had to deal with in order to make it playable for the other versions. I just saw that challenge where you had to [hang from that ring-thing, and let Murfy move you through a bunch of spikes, but also moving the Teensy that you have to rescue, making it near impossible for Rayman to reach it. I actually had to stop and think what would be the solution, and it's really clever.
]
I also saw the level where you have to rescue Barbara. [It's basically Murfy's Dungeon, but more fun. The gameplay is so fastpaced I think this level is exclusive to Wii U. Seriously, this level in other consoles would be impossible.]
Probably those clever puzzles will be replaced with beat-em-all stuff, or just see Murfy spinning around and you pressing B in the right moment. That's sad. I really, REALLY appreciate what the developers did with the Wii U version of Rayman Legends, and feel real sorry for them having to remove all that material and replace it for quicktime events/oversimplified button mash in the other versions.

Re: Rayman Legends
Damn, should have never took my pre-order off the Wii U version... oh well, guess I'll have to wait around Christmas for that. At least I have the PC version of Rayman Legends on pre-order
