Reminds me, I should plot in Great Escape and play it again sometime soon. Haven't played it in awhile.
Bzzit wrote:They just uploaded a rayman 3 one now too, so I guess you're right. Probably just uploading the old rayman trailers and whatnot for the upcoming release of Legends .

One thing I love in this game is that Rayman owns the Rayman 2 design. :P
This engine was used by some other games on the GBC, Rayman 2, Tonic Trouble and Donald Duck: Quack attack for example all use this same engine! (the games are pretty similiar too  )

On the PC all 3 versions share the same engine too, although in different versions (tonic trouble doesn't support the voodoo glide for example)

On N64, during the end credits, press button Z and at the same time press A and B. You will then be able to pilot the Pirate's Boat thanks to the analog stick
Just in case anyone still cares, it actually does work.

Today, I tested out my Rayman 2 for PS1 I recently won on eBay and in-game languages are only French and German. When it comes to understanding, I understand German better but I am now playing it on French since that is after all game's original language and it voice acting is better then German one in my opinion.

Like mine. German version is particulary also the French.

LoL me too! I just wanted to see how the French voice actors listen like and yeah actually I find it also better than the German voice actors.

Apropos Rayman 2, Rayman Revolution PAL is not good. It doesn't run fluent and I get bothered by frameskippers. I obtained the american NTSC and now I am reliefed.

Most of PAL games don't run good. Expecially N64 ones. PS2 usually gets more-less ok PAL titles but RR is not one of them. NTSC will always be superior signal in my opinion. I think it's about time Europe swiches to NTSC for new Region Free generation of PS4 and Xbox One. Games for those consoles should come in NTSC signal worldwide.

Hm, I think the difference could be to do with the fact that our electricity supply frequencies differ, ours is 50Hz, while in other places, it's 60Hz.
Quick google led me to this: http://www.yak.net/fqa/165.html

I think I should try always to get the NTSC version of game first, but the disadvantage is often that they won't offer multilangual just maybe in English.

Personally I never play games in my own language, especially not with voice acting. It just sounds cheesy for whatever reason. Same goes for movies, but that's because half the time they grab popular figures to advertise with rather then an actual voice actor that matches the original voice.

@Keane I play games always on English if game was created in America, if game was created in Europe, then it depends. If game has voice acting, then I play it on original language and not dub. If game has no voice acting and only text, then I do not have to worry about bad dubs and I will always select English to understand game the best. If game was created in Japan, then I play on Japanese. I love Japanese voices :mryellow:

Most of the games I play tend to be western, so I stick with English if there's any VA in there.

Same here. I find Japanese voice too high pitched on female characters or sometimes too low pitched on male characters (example: Hellsing Ultimate, Alucard).
