Re: Rayman Legends
No. A beat-em-up is something you get used to, since you have to learn the combos. A fighting game is something you get used to for the same reason. A strategy game is something you get used to, since you have to understand it's mechanics, items and figure out the best strategies.Rulez wrote:You get used to it.sergiomonty wrote: Other version: Constant fighting against the controls due to the ridiculous multitasking.
A platformer isn't something you have to get used to, particularly because it forces you to play at the same time with a flying frog (greenbottle).
It is immediately clunky, and not playable for everyone. Maybe you guys have no problems with multitasking, but there are millions of people who do.

No really I do want to see these videos, especially the stuff involving The Magician and the first boss.sergiomonty wrote:N-Nooo, No... There no watch more spoilers. Nooo..
Re: Rayman Legends
PC version had the chance to be the third best version (after Wii U and Vita),but at this moment it is the worst, because:
1) Murfy is controlled by a button.Seriously? He could be controlled with the mouse.
2) Instead of a bonus costume, the bonus for PC is Rayman Origins.
70% OF RAYMAN ORIGINS IS ALREADY IN LEGENDS,so the bonus is almost nothing

Well, that explains why it is literally the cheapest version

Eurogamer gives it a 10/10!
And they don't like the Murfy controls on Xbox either.
And Videogamer gives it 8/10.

They have a real nice video review though, which shows a few new things (creatures, etc).
Man, I need this game.

Congratulations, Ubisoft Montpellier!! You truly made a Rayman masterpiece.
Also the Wii U version is the best version, yay c:

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, Interesting. I thought creatures would be all purple thingies, but I see there's a lot of variation in the Glade's fauna. Gonna catch them all!Bionichute wrote:uhweird little pet creatures (pigs, robots, pieces of toast)
Oh! so that's what creatures are for! This means there's tons of replay value.which generate more Lums every day.

Re: Rayman Legends
Funny, the IGN review takes note of Murfy's trait of being a Flying Encyclopedia:
But Ubisoft came up with an elegant solution when it transitioned Legends to other platforms by letting Rayman command his flying encyclopedia assistant activate switches and levers using a single button.
Re: Rayman Legends
I wouldn't be too sure about that. Some people don't like the Murfy levels much on the Wii U either:sergiomonty wrote:Also the Wii U version is the best version, yay c:

And great that at least some people played Rayman 2 - good job IGN!

Re: Rayman Legends
"No Online co-op"
When is IGN going to understand? Online co-op doesn't work in 2d platformers. You can't communicate with the player at all, and when you don't know where to go or what to do to solve a puzzle, it leads to really awkward moments, like the time I tried to play Trine 2 with someone I didn't know. It was awful. Also, if you can't keep up with your friend, the scroll of the camera is gonna kill you very often, and you don't even know if your online partner is gonna let you respawn again.

Re: Rayman Legends
Each to their own it seems, but those scores are most brilliant!
These are the reviews that Metacritic has listed thus far: http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360 ... ic-reviews
At the moment, it lists the average at 92, which I think might be the best the series has had.

Re: Rayman Legends
They basically said Murfy isn't that good ("not necessarily bad") in single player on the Wii U, but in multiplayer is amazing in co-op.Drolpiraat wrote:I wouldn't be too sure about that. In the other versions, however, Murfy isn't that good in both multiplayer AND single player
