Re: Rayman Legends
Oh god... it's happening. While the game is often adressed as "almost perfect", its perfection is constantly stopped by Murfy on the PS360 version as I predicted
Take this review for example, he's the guy who voiced the "E3 Abridged" series that we all know and love, yet he spent a lot of time of the review saying how Murfy doesn't work on the 360 version. He even says that in multiplayer it gets even worse.
The guy says the Xbox 360 controller is the best controller ever made and that Rayman Origins was his favorite game of all time, so there's no bias involved.

Re: Rayman Legends
And that is exactly the bias involved. Rayman Legends is a different game - there's more emphasis on exploring, which he says he doesn't like. If you watch the whole review, his main complaint is that he can't rush through the levels like in Origins, especially in the Murfy levels which require you to think. It's not so much about the controls.sergiomonty wrote:and that Rayman Origins was his favorite game of all time, so there's no bias involved.

Good to see that the reviewers are loving the game, which a true candidate to the Platformer of the Year, or even for the Best Artistic Direction. Ubi deserves.

Re: Rayman Legends
By bias involved I meant exclusively his opinion about the controls, not the game itself, that's why I mentioned the Xbox 360 controller too. About the entirely review, well, that's a different story, I can't disagree more with him than I do now. This game gives what fans originally wanted from Rayman Origins and it complains because it's more open. His comparison with Disney vs. Pixar doesn't even make sense. Pixar stopped being the perfect momentum of Disney after UP, and Disney increased the quality of their other Animation Studio at the same time. Compare Cars 2 to Tangled, compare Brave to Wreck-it Ralph. I dare to say that even Frozen looks more interesting than the concept proposed in Monsters University.Drolpiraat wrote:And that is exactly the bias involved. Whatever, the point is that I wanted to show that review because... well.. he's the guy with the voice, you see
Re: Rayman Legends
I played 360 demo and PC demo with 360 controller and besides glitching one time on 360, Murphy works good in my opinionsergiomonty wrote:Oh god... it's happening. It should at least get best platformer of the year. Best game of September, for sure.spiraldoor wrote:Looks like someone hasn't played BioShock Infinite.

Isn't GTA V releasing September as well, or did I miss a delay there?Bionichute wrote:It should at least get best platformer of the year. Best game of September, for sure.spiraldoor wrote:Looks like someone hasn't played BioShock Infinite.

Re: Rayman Legends
GTA V is coming out September if I'm not mistaken, not a smart move for RL to be released near it, since more people are likely to buy GTA V.

Re: Rayman Legends
Indeed, though whether or not the effect will be large, remains to be seen, I doubt that the majority of GTA V prospectives would be interested in the likes of Rayman Legends.
Re: Rayman Legends
@Sergio and Spiral
I have not seen gameplay or played BioShock Infinite so I can't speak about it.
I did not played The Last of Us but I saw gameplay and it is good game, but I still think all Jak games (except for Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier) are better. Jak X is not counting because that is a spin-off. Seeing Rayman Legends and playing demo, I like it better then The Last of Us.
@Master
GTA V is getting released 17th September but maybe Bionichute thinks RL will be better.

Re: Rayman Legends
The Rayman series here in America is extremely underrated, the chances of more people buying RL to GTA V, are very unlikely sadly...

People's tastes differ, OCG, I think that while it's a given that the majority here hold preference for Legends, but in the vast gaming community, methinks that probably isn't the case for them.
