The original game had an outstanding ending. What did you want from it?

I have no complains about the way that Rayman 1 ended, afterall you did confront Mr. Dark. What else could you ask for?

Outstanding? I wouldn't say so.

I wasn't complaining about Mr. Dark. Just the anti-climatic cutscene ending once you beat the game.

Well, seems like we all have a sour taste in our mouths from seeing that ending...

True on that. But still RL is going to be one fantastic game.

So now you're a comedian?
Haruka wrote:I think some people will disagree with me but [ I expected much worse. It was not really epic, that's for sure, but at least it is a more complete battle, contrary to RO that was just a Moskito pursuit and not a battle at all. Knowing how there isn't a real villain at all in this game, I also couldn't expect something extraordinary. Maybe this wasn't also the real ending, since RO featured an alternative one, and with some luck the alternative one is better. We'll see. I think this final will be a little more satisfatory than RO when I reach it. The way that RO ended did taste me like I did lots of effort for almost nothing (Don't get me started with the Death Fairy's "Thanks!"). I can't deny the fact that Ubi seems to have forgotten how to make more satisfatory endings but I guess we are probably asking a lot. ] .
I agree with this. To be honest, this isn't the worst ending to a Rayman game, or even the worst final boss battle. RO and RRR fight a lot for those two titles.

Spiraldoor... the villain running away and showing us a bunch of goofballs that we must beat isn't what I would call an outstanding ending. It was not satisfying at all. And if your theory about Mr Dark becoming a mutant isn't right (yeah, more confusion than RO), then that means he escaped, which leads to a freaking awful ending. The only thing that makes this game have an outstanding ending is... well... NOSTALGIA. AND I DON'T HAVE THAT.

Yep, re-watched saw footage on the final boss. Good gameplay, nice boss battle, awfully bland ending though.

I haven't watched it yet, but why the fuck are they showing the final boss before the game is released? I found it annoying that they were giving away so much info in the first place, but this is just ridiculous.

Nah... it's not their fault. Remember, early owners.

I just watched it since I knew I'd be underwhelmed either way, and since the video apparently wasn't released by Ubisoft.

How lame. While this time around I find Legends' artwork to be beautiful (the exact opposite of Origins'), that was probably one of the worst, most anti-climactic final bosses I've ever seen out of every game ever. I've derived more satisfaction from gnawing on a bottle cap than I have from this ending, by a solid ten-fold.

That's one hell of a bottlecap then. No, but the boss battle, not even bothering putting final since they have no real order, could have been improved. Though, art is way more eye pleasing than before.

Whoa, I do think the final boss was disappointment, but saying that was one of the WORST final bosses you've seen? Trust me, there are MUCH MUCH worse.

Anyways Haruka I do own a UPLAY account, I think it is Rayfist or Rayfist090, either way, maybe we should create a Uplay thread?

Adsolution, you're exaggerating. The final boss doesn't even come close to how awful Big Mama was. At least Ales Mansay was a decent menace this time.

Oh, IGN just released an official timeline Rayman. If you scroll, you can see the whole thing animated. It's pretty cool.

It's curious to say, though, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and TV Party don't seem to be considered canon, but the first one is.

Pretty damn cool! I like how you can use the scroll (and arrow keys) to control it.
Also why the fuck did they skip Rayman M/Arena?
