Well, there was something, but some drama led to it being locked, I'll link to it once this error passes.

Beat ya to it, before we went up and down and all around, this is what we said earlier, just to see if there's anything you guys want to add or discuss:
OldClassicGamer wrote:If they brought back GBA support or if it was region free it would be worth buying, but since thats not the case it is not worth at all. People that do not like 3D can turn it off on regular 3DS. Also it still has 1 analig stick...why?
Master wrote:It seems to be merely a cheapo version of the 3DS, not a bad thing, mind you, but it'd bug me not being able to fold the screens as has been the case since the original DS, though the loss of the 3D isn't a bad thing by any means.
Still, if it does make the ability to play 3DS games more accessible, given that it is cheaper, then I guess it has an audience.
Also, nice to see you again, 3Dguy, how have you been keeping?Haruka wrote:Nintendo surely comes up with odd moves sometimes.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the portrait form factor of the original Game Boy and the Colour, I prefer the layout from the original Advance.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
What really just rather annoys me is the fact that I'm seeing a lot of people on Miiverse defending this fucking thing!
https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYM ... UgHqcpSq4g
You can't justify this, it's a quick cash grab, when Nintendo should have just lowered the price of the normal 3DS. I can understand who it was aimed towards but I find it ridiculous people are defending Nintendo for it using the price difference as an example... as I've said. Nintendo should have lowered the price for the normal 3DS originally, at least the third addition to the GBA family (GB Micro) actually added some improvements and a handheld that could literally fit into your pocket. The 2DS looks like a piece of bread, that can't even be folded, while I don't particularly mind the new design... no folding? No point in this honestly if it doesn't make ANY improvement from the original 3DS and 3DS XL.

Personally, I'm indifferent, I don't think it's a terrible idea, though I did have "WHAT!?" running through my mind when I first read about it, it seems to be oriented at younger players, by the look, the lack of a folding screen would make sense, seeing as how the hinges can be broken by a less than wary mind, and seeing how young 'uns can, and will break things, I guess there might be some justification in that.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
The PSP was an awesome handheld console, what was wrong with it's library? I can seriously name about over 30 games that made the PSP an amazing handheld. Don't like the UMD's? Nobody is MAKING you use it, psn has all psp games (almost all) for digital. It is a fantastic portable, nearly as good as the DS in my opinion. And had some absolutely fucking fantastic games, to top it off you could play PS1 games on it. I understand it's your opinion but saying you hate the PSP? Hate is a strong word, and I've never met someone that downright HATES the PSP, especially with its absolutely incredible library. To top it off you could already play PS1 games on it... Rayman, Crash, Spyro, a LOT of the good PS1 library. Don't get me started, PSP had a phenomenal library, Megaman, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Ape Escape, Prinny, Persona, Dangan ronpa, HOW ABOUT DJ FUCKING MAX!? (one of my favorite rhythm games), etc. The UMD format I don't have a problem with either, I do heavily prefer cartridges but what's wrong with the UMD's? Take care of the discs and they won't be loud and obnoxious.Haruka wrote:Piracy? I'm not like you, OCG.
I never liked the game catalogue of the console, not to mention its stupid UMD format.
I guess Japanese type games aren't your thing, but the PSP had plenty to offer, you probably just aren't looking. Sorry if I freaked out but I can't understand hatred against a portable that has no problems really, and if you don't like the obnoxious UMD, go for a PSPgo, even they sell digital games for cheap. Just saying, having hatred against a portable that has nothing wrong with it, is silly.
I doubt she'd like Prinny, last time I checked she doesn't like those anime type games.OCG wrote:I bet you would like this game

I wonder if Microsoft will ever make a handheld console? (Like Nintendo and Sony.)

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Very much this. Something worth noting as well is that the 3DS is rated for 7+ which is going to be a problem when it comes to little kids who want to play Pokemon XY. On top of that the 3D effect is bad for peoples eyes, especially young 'uns. So it would make sense for Nintendo to make a handheld that would benefit that side of the audience, it would also benefit those who don't care about 3D but still want to play 3DS games (and at a cheaper price too).Master wrote:Personally, I'm indifferent, I don't think it's a terrible idea, though I did have "WHAT!?" running through my mind when I first read about it, it seems to be oriented at younger players, by the look, the lack of a folding screen would make sense, seeing as how the hinges can be broken by a less than wary mind, and seeing how young 'uns can, and will break things, I guess there might be some justification in that.
I also fail to see why companies doing stuff like this for more money is a bad thing? You can't surely expect companies to just target one audience and grab as much money from them as they can, in the same sense that you can't get loads of oil from just the one oil pump. Nintendo aren't being greedy bastards by telling you you need to get this thing, just to get it if you want it.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I think I should mention my thoughts on the 2DS have seriously really changed a whole lot... but not entirely.
However considering kids at least here in America usually don't even play Nintendo anymore but mostly waste there time on 360 screaming at people... *ahem* but that's beside the point, I can see this was aimed towards a younger audience. However the whole 'oh for those who don't care about 3D it'd be nice' I still disagree with, the price difference, I'll give it that, it's a good way, but the 3D can be turned off from the 3ds, I dislike how people are seeing that as a selling point. The best selling point I see is that it looks good for kids, and a much cheaper method.
I guess I can see why Nintendo is going through with this, but I just don't understand why they had to make a 3rd member of the 3ds family THIS early? The GB micro took until the END of the GBA generation to get released, it all just seems so... sudden. Even the design, without the closing it just seems... well kind of unnattractive. I guess I take back my statement about Nintendo money grubbing, and I WILL be honest this is a LOT better than that absolutely horrid Wii Mini.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I've heard people say that they have a 3DS and don't use the 3D feature at all because they simply aren't interested in it. The 3D effect has always been nothing more than a gimmick for this system; one which put people off the whole system all together regardless of the fact it could simply be turned off. You could say then that the 2DS is a way of getting the full console without a gimmick some people may hardly ever use otherwise, and get it cheaper.Rayfirst wrote:However considering kids at least here in America usually don't even play Nintendo anymore but mostly waste there time on 360 screaming at people... *ahem* but that's beside the point, I can see this was aimed towards a younger audience. Many are saying it's because of Pokemon XY since it's release is on the same day as the game, because all the kids these days are into Pokemon.Rayfist wrote: I guess I can see why Nintendo is going through with this, but I just don't understand why they had to make a 3rd member of the 3ds family THIS early? EDIT: "Criticism" on youtube? Ha. For every 1 person that actually gives a proper critic there's 100,000 comments along the lines of "THIS SUX", "NINTENDO WHAT ARE YOU DOING", "3DS IS RUINIED!!!! >8(".
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I gave a proper critic and made cideo with my honest thoughts. I see that thing is getting a lot of hate but still I think disableing comments abd ratings would just get them bigger hate for future videos and sales of Nintendo 2DS. They could have ignored it instead.
