Re: Rayman Legends
Do either the tricky treasures or mariachi madness or orchestral chaos. You can earn many in those.
Re: Rayman Legends
The music ones are helpful, but you can also play the Cloud of Darkness level, since you can get the 999 Lums as maximum.

I don't like how there are billions of Lums and cages everywhere. It makes everything feel a bit valueless. Even the levels where the whole point is to rescue a princess end with breaking an unrelated Teensy cage. These 1000-Lum scratchcards would have come in very handy back in Rayman 2.

Re: Rayman Legends
I’ve noticed some "gore" details in the Fiesta de los Muertos wolrd. Do you see them?
- In the last levels, there are (hilarious) giant wrestlers who fall from the top of the screen. Often, when they hit the ground, you hear a crack. If you look their head, you can see that they break their teeth. And if you look attentively, you can see a little bone pop out of their skull.
- When you defeated the boss of the world, he screams and falls into the chili lake. If you look attentively, you can see blood on his gums.

Re: Rayman Legends
The first cage room in Castle in the Sky is gloriously strange. I wish there was more stuff like that.
Re: Rayman Legends
It seems that Lums aren't that rare anymore.spiraldoor wrote:I don't like how there are billions of Lums and cages everywhere. It makes everything feel a bit valueless. Even the levels where the whole point is to rescue a princess end with breaking an unrelated Teensy cage.
You can bet. These 1000-Lum scratchcards would have come in very handy back in Rayman 2.
Re: Rayman Legends
Try to understand people who aren't into speedruns and then the hyped great amount of levels isn't there. I don't understand you. We all sure love the game, but then when someone says something bad about it they get immediately attacked.

These are wild lums... not the lums that you know from Rayman 2.spiraldoor wrote:I don't like how there are billions of Lums and cages everywhere. It makes everything feel a bit valueless. Re: Rayman Legends
I like to think that the original 1000 Lums are busy being the Heart of the World, and they ended up spawning off millions of "lesser" Lums.

You can rationalise it however you like. I prefer the old system where Lums are relatively rare, have distinct functions, and make you feel like you're accomplishing something by gathering them.Bionichute wrote:I like to think that the original 1000 Lums are busy being the Heart of the World, and they ended up spawning off millions of "lesser" Lums.

I wish there were more collectables other than Teensies and Lums, though. Like... I don't know, finding Creatures in specific levels and not in coupons. That would be a great incentive to explore.
Re: Rayman Legends
Same thing here. I would have prefered the return of the Tings, it would sound more logical getting Tings with the lucky tickets.spiraldoor wrote:sergiomonty wrote:These are wild lums... not the lums that you know from Rayman 2.You can rationalise it however you like. Re: Rayman Legends
I wish there was more variety among the creatures. They all seem to follow a small number of design templates and none are especially memorable. It would've been cool if they'd tossed in a few creatures from previous games (or even ones from elsewhere in this game – they feel very disconnected from the world).

Yeah, I know. The crazy looking animals from Rayman 3 would have been great.spiraldoor wrote:I wish there was more variety among the creatures. Which reminds me.
THIS GAME HAS NO FUCKIN' PLUMS EITHER
Re: Rayman Legends
Even on trailer when RO was supposed to be prequel there are no Tings. I wonder why are Tings being avoided in recent Rayman games.Haruka wrote:Same thing here. I would have prefered the return of the Tings, it would sound more logical getting Tings with the lucky tickets.

Re: Rayman Legends
Wonder how Rayman Legends was going to be before the delay? Then buy the PS Vita version, because it is missing 28 levels:

Re: Rayman Legends
What if Ubisoft just renamed Tings into Lums? Very unlikely btw.

So much for "includes all of the original Rayman Legends content, as well as five exclusive maps".sergiomonty wrote:Wonder how Rayman Legends was going to be before the delay? Then buy the PS Vita version, because it is missing 28 levels:

Re: Rayman Legends
It's still more than the original build, which only had 600 Teensies to save. This one only has 615.sergiomonty wrote:Wonder how Rayman Legends was going to be before the delay? Then buy the PS Vita version, because it is missing 28 levels:

Re: Rayman Legends
I'm in luck: Spending a week in the US so I will most likely be picking up a copy of the game tomorrow. Sadly however I won't have access to my Wii U until two or three weeks. Maybe even longer.
Lums are like the golden coins for Mario. They've become part of main image people have of Rayman. I would prefer Rayman 2's concept of collecting them too, but I do find it a little irritating when you've missed one or two lums and end up having to redo the entire level.OldClassicGamer wrote:Even on trailer when RO was supposed to be prequel there are no Tings.
