I've been told I snore although I don't often sleep on my back.

I don't think so. I heard that a factor that contributes for that is also the body fat.

If there's repetitive sounds, they actually help me fall asleep. Radio static, tv sounds, regular conversation... good sleepy sleepy fuel

I'm not sure if I've ever managed to actually fall asleep while not on my side, but I can lay on my back or stomach for a while while I shift into the deeper layers of unconciousness.

Technically it can, as sleeping on your back causes the body fat on your chest to compress onto your lungs. The amount this will affect you will obviously determine how much it can make you snore. Just look at those grotesquely obese people who die from sleeping on their back because they suffocate under their own weight.

I try to sleep on my sides thanks to the fear of choking to death on my own puke.
