Yeah, I do wonder who came up with the aesthetic for 06, sad to say, they probably didn't last long thereafter...
Re: Rayman 3
Many bug testers were also probably fired.

Re: Rayman 3
Bug Testers? they didn't have time for that. Sega forced Sonic Team to finish the game in a few weeks to make sure that the release matched with Sonic's anniversary, not knowing that the game would have needed at least 6 more months for full development. The results? well... there they are.
Also, I'm gonna say Sonic 06's Eggman looks fucking hot.

Ive never played sonic 06, (but i heard really bad things about it.) The only good thing to come out of that game (based on what i read and heard) is the song "His world".)sergiomonty wrote:Bug Testers? they didn't have time for that. And when did this become a sonic topic
Re: Rayman 3
Many people blame the lack of full development for it being such a nightmare of a game, but looking at what it was trying to do in the first place it would still have been a fucking terrible game... just with five million less glitches. You'd almost think that whoever came up with the story was intentionally trying to give you some of the best laughs any game can offer.sergiomonty wrote:Bug Testers? they didn't have time for that. Re: Rayman 3
I could ignore the story problem if gameplay was not glitchy, if loading times were not so long and if they improved map. Seriously, I was lost many times. After I beat game with Sonic, I did not even bother playing as Shadow or Silver and I sold the game.

Re: Rayman 3
haha so much hate for sonic '06... to be honest I never really had any major problems (glitches) with it. I seem to recall it was a pretty good experience back in the day

I mean if your able to put aside the glitches and joke of a story, it's still the unbelievably boring gameplay from the 00's Sonic games, and the weakest at that. I've played a bunch of it and seen the Game Grumps let's play and not one part of the game in any way offers fun gameplay. 90% of the game is spend fighting the exact same enemies you come across in the first part of the game, with 10 hours of loading screens divided between it. Every character controls worse then the other and when I first came across the fight with Silver I just needed a moment to take in the fact that human beings worked on programming its existence.
Re: Rayman 3
Actually the game's music in general was pretty good.that3Dguy wrote:Ive never played sonic 06, (but i heard really bad things about it.) Agreed, I loved the Crisis City track, and the one in those ancient forest ruins whose name escapes me, the one where you could grind on water, and fly on Eagles.
Re: Rayman 3
I like Sonic 06 Soundtrack as well. Crisis City has to be my favourite. I also liked that level in Generations. Music is only thing that is 100% awesome in all Sonic games.

Re: Rayman 3
Well, Sonic 4 was meh, personally, Ep 2 was an improvement, but the soundtrack in that game is just...disappointing.

Re: Rayman 3
Indeed, though I didn't mind Sonic 4's Metal Sonic theme, or the Death Egg theme.

Re: Rayman 3
The only thing that even sounded like Genesis in S4's Soundtrack was the snare drum.

Re: Rayman 3
You are correct. Although, I found that one to be really annoying when the running part comes.
Did you have any trouble with it?

Re: Rayman 3
Sonic 4's gensisy music didn't really do it for me.
Am I the only one that really, really doesn't like the music from modern Sonic games? The music from the early games was very memorable and unique, whereas Sonic 06 just all sounds like a big collection of generic rock. Mushroom Zone is still the way I like my Sonic tunes.OldClassicGamer wrote:I like Sonic 06 Soundtrack as well. Crisis City has to be my favourite. I also liked that level in Generations.
