Re: Rayman Legends
Rayman Legends isn't a perfect game, not by far, but that kind of post just pisses me off. They WOULDN'T have been able to fit the old Ubisoft logo on there because it wouldn't fit with Rayman's model. The circular logo is perfect for Rayman because he has a circle on his chest. Plus we don't even know if UbiRay is even playable, so there's not much use complaining about something that might not be in the game.
Re: Rayman Legends
I always thought that was pretty obvious. It's still a shame that they completely looked past what made the Precipice so awesome.Haruka wrote:I still believe that R2 was a source of inspiration for levels like Pirate's Treasure! in RO.spiraldoor wrote:I've never thought about it until now, but the Precipice is kind of a primordial example of all the rapid-paced collapse-a-thon chase levels in Origins and Legends. It seems really obvious when you think about the levels where the heroes are chased by flying ships shooting helicopter bombs. I wonder if it was a major influence?
The fact that you were totally owning the pirates, still escaping from them while they were doing so much to get rid of you.
It just felt epic, while in RO there wasn't much of that with that crazy banjo music playing and nothing looking threatening at all.
I actually agree with you that it wouldn't fit, but there was no need to call him a "nostalgia blind ass face". That was extremely immature of you.Bionichute wrote:Rayman Legends isn't a perfect game, not by far, but that kind of post just pisses me off. Re: Rayman Legends
My bets for unlocking him are either all achivements, either level 11 awesomness, or both things. If thats not the case then UbiRay is "second 2D Nightmare"
Re: Rayman Legends
I don't think it's unlockable at all, wouldn't it make sense if a Ubi Ray was for the dev team only so people could see who the developers are in the leaderboards? The skin would then just be in the game so it could be used for their ghosts in the challenges.OldClassicGamer wrote:My bets for unlocking him are either all achivements, either level 11 awesomness, or both things. It's very unlikely that you can unlock him as there's no mention of him in the script too.
Re: Rayman Legends
Did any of you looked from where the person using the skin was from. The ones I have seen using it were all from France.
Re: Rayman Legends
Still, one thing is for sure. The guy who has him is hiding something.

Re: Rayman Legends
While we're on the topic of skins, does anyone have any idea how we're to get images of the version exclusive skins onto the wiki?
Re: Rayman Legends
Come on, OCG. We already said plenty of times the skin isn't unlockable and seeing it only in a very minor number of French players it only evidences they are being exclusively used by developers. Just because the skin is in the sprites pack it doesn't mean it is used in the game. There are so many videogames where you can find obscure data that is left in the disk while they don't appear in the final content. This video from the PS1 R2 is an example of that:
@Master I can only think in somebody doing a 1080p screenshot with a recording device, or simply using the promotional screenshots.

Re: Rayman Legends
A quick Google has yielded such a thing, though we'll need some good photoshopping. Has anyone managed to get the exclusive skins for the other versions? It'd be nice to have details on 'em so we can note them down on the wiki.Haruka wrote:@Master I can only think in somebody doing a 1080p screenshot with a recording device, or simply using the promotional screenshots.

Re: Rayman Legends
The music in the 8-bit music levels reminds me of the GBC Rayman games.Bzzit wrote:Replaying the music levels and their 8-bit counterparts I really wish they had made a special stage in the final world based on the precipice. The style of these levels would have suited it perfectly; fast paced, cannons firing and structures collapsing to the music, aswell as smashing the occasional cage as you go like in the original. Seeing the pirate ships and maybe even robot pirates in this art-style would have been cool too.

A Rayman with limbs is no Rayman at all.

When I think of a limbed Rayman, I think of Spongefox's 'Eddie'.

Re: Rayman Legends
Just beat the "Last Boss". Now to play those 8-Bit levels that I've heard so much about!
