Considering it comes out October, not too far from now, it seems so, I also pre-ordered Windwaker HD and Sonic Lost Worlds while I was there, can't wait. The guy there also had a Pokemon tattoo, it was pretty badass! :)

Sorry for the double post, but EVERYONE HAS TO HEAR ABOUT THIS.
The original Pokemon, yes THE ORIGINAL, not Ash Ketchum, the main dude, Red, is having his own fucking show!

Aw yes. This looks pretty sweet :D I'm sort of hoping though that they're going to do it for all the games instead of just the originals.

I think this is pretty sweet for now though, I much prefer Red over Ash, so this is a dream come true, especially since I dislike Ash's personality a lot of the time.

Ah, saw this on Kotaku, silly me for not sharing it with you guys earlier.
It definitely looks awesome, seems like the animation style is also slightly different than the usual one seen in the Anime, it seems to evoke a style more faithful to what Pokemon drawings looked like back in that era.

No word on if it'll ever come outside of Japan, but maybe we can hope for subtitles ;)

Given the size of the fanbase, hopefully such a thing will be easily done.

Since the BW era there's been plenty of fans who patched the Japanese releases in English and those who subbed Jap eps of the anime. That and given how hyped everyone is for this i'd be more surprised if there wasn't subs within a day of the first ep's release.

I watched the VG finals of the three divisions from this year's world championship in the official YT channel. I got particularly impressed to see a Machamp in the finals, but the usage was really clever.

I started watching Pokemon Anime from the beginning for the sake of nostalgia. I have to say Japanese names are not as memorable as American names. Even for Trainers too. Only name I prefer is Gary's Japanese name (Shigeru). If I talk with someone about Pokemon, and say anyone's name on Japanese (no matter if it is Trainer or Pokemon), they will most likely not know who am I talking about. But I have to say that I find Japanese names of Team Rocket really funny because they are named Musashi and Kojiro. In real life, Musashi and Kojiro were two Samurai and they fought eachother. Musashi killed Kojiro.

Did anyone watch the Pokemon Direct that was on earlier? Neither did I but here's the run-down of it, credit to Serebii :

- Mega Evolutions for the Gen 1 starters where unveiled.
- Speaking of Mega-evos, it's not just a matter of the Pokemon holding their stone to trigger it; trainers also need a "Mega Ring" which holds a stone known as the "Key Stone".
- Poke Bank was revealed, which is essentially a 3DS app which stores Pokemon in a cloud storage box, much like the Gen 3 Poke Box software. It stores up to 3,000 pokemon in 100 boxes. It requires an annual fee of 500 yen however (~£3.21/€3.80), a free trail of it is avalable until January 31st. It's release date in Japan is Christmas this year.
- Poke bank sounds shit? But it also comes with a free software called Poke Transporter, which allows you to transfer Pokemon from gen V to gen VI. You can transfer box loads of Pokemon at a time but the only real poop is that for some reason it also requires wi-fi (Probably to check for hacked/cheated Pokemon
- Prof Sycamore gives out Kanto starters somewhere along the line
- If you don't have a 3DS yet like me there are some pretty sexy pokemon skinned ones coming out

Neat, I'm sure the whole paying for that transfer facility is going to tick some people off, personally, I wouldn't be too fussed, I'd probably have one upfront transfer then be done with the whole thing.

By the sounds of it the transfer is a separate app than the Poke Bank, so it's like a freebie software.

EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention is that for a split second near the end there was a new Pokemon, although Serebii only says that much about it

Ah, ok, I do hope so, I can't use online payment services yet, and there are so many Pokemon I'd like to bring forward, should I go down the 3DS route.
Anyways, the Gen I starter Megas don't look quite as different from their base forms as MewTwo and the others do, though they look pretty nifty nonetheless.

Only thing is that it only comes as part of a package with Poke bank :S Not sure if you'll need details even for the trail of it but we'll see.

Mega-Venasaur looks way cooler than it's normal form. Mega-Charizard is.... meh. And Mega-Blastoise i'm conflicted about because the hand canons are awesome but i'm not fond of it's single canon on it's shell.

EDIT: 2 starters, you get 2 starters at the start of your journey: A Kalas and Kanto starter. Prof Sycamore for best professor.

EDIT 2: Correction: Your character's friends give you the Kalos starters while Sycamore gives you the Kanto ones, rather strange actually.

I loved the Black and White credits theme, certainly a change given the more serene and reflective nature the main series credits usually have.

I've always pondered how "legendaries" can be shiny.
