DIMPS is sadly known for making mediocre games. They even made Crash Boom Bang - worst Crash game ever and horrible Mario Party clone.

I'm wholly aware of that, but seeing as they did pretty decently with the Sonic Advance series, even if that was some time ago, I think that they could rise above their usual line of mediocrity, and make something pretty decent.

They do have a potential to make a decent games, and as you already said, Sonic Advance series was indeed really good. I only own Sonic Advance 2. Speaking of Advance series, I heared Sonic Advance 1is avalible on Android market for free but only on Japanese market. Unlike Apple's App Store, it is impossible to change region of Android market because phone detects your SIM Card, and I never had Japanese SIM. Even when I was in Japan, I still had my regular SIM Card. For Apple's App Store, it is really easy because it is in account settings. I have two accounts. One is Japanese and one is American.

The Sonic Advance series kicked absolute ass. Probably one of my favorites. Especially Sonic Advance 3, the OST for that game was fucking unbelievable for what the GBA was capable of, seriously, listen:

If there's anything I love about that trailer, it's the tone. I like Sonic Colors, but the tone and humor was a bit juvenile for my taste. The way this trailer is, it shows the game has some serious moments, while keeping it light hearted at the same time. Something I think Sonic games should be.

I must agree... Sonic Colors was a cheesy sitcom for kids in terms of story. And I mean it literally, like characters looking at the screen after making a really bad joke, or Sonic using terrible puns as catchphrases.

The Dreamcast era tipped too much toward serious, SA1 was fine, SA2 was when they were getting a little too edgy for my tastes.

I like edgy Sonic games. Main problem with Sonic Heroes for me is that it was too lighthearted. Other then that it was a good game.
I liked that Shadow The Hedgehog was edgy.

The Dreamcast was the first sega console that required only a modchip for playing imports&switching around NTSC and PAL mode&backups.

There are some Dreamcast models that are automatically region free.

Maybe some preowners modded theirs to to play imports because that task was really easy/cheap.

Shadow the Hedgehog was a disgrace for humanity.

No, I'm not saying it to piss you off this time.

It's probably one of the worst game decisions ever made.

What did you hate about it? I only hated controlling vehicles. Other then that, it was pretty cool game in my opinion with interesting idea of choosing sides.

The story was fucked up and the controls were clunky as hell. That's the problem. Also ,the concept of a black hedgehog from a kids game holding a gun and riding a vehicle is terribly stupid.

There is nothing wrong with Shadow being a black hedgehog or that his game gets gun and vehicles to me. Yeah sure, Sonic is supposed to be a child game franchise but don't you think it also have the right to grow up a bit with the fans aging? The Shadow The Hedgehog game was fun for me. But seeing how there is more than 300 ways to finish the game i'm not going to lose my time doing this, it already took me 6 months to be able to reach the last boss.
