Yeah sure, Sonic is supposed to be a child game franchise but don't you think it also have the right to grow up a bit with the fans aging? The Shadow The Hedgehog game was fun for me. But seeing how there is more than 300 ways to finish the game i'm not going to lose my time doing this, it already took me 6 months to be able to reach the last boss.
I know what you mean, spent half of my 8th grade getting to the super shadow fight :boon:

I didn't enjoy Shadow the Hedgehog, the slow mechanics, really twitchy controls, and really bland levels (except for that virtual level), really turned me off from it.

I've only played through Westopolis, the track in that level was decent, but I found it way too bland and it just wasn't memorable, even though it really should be given that this is the stage where all of Black Doom's forces come in and wreck the place.

Good to see Eggman does appear.

I liked that Shadow The Hedgehog was edgy.
Serious Sonic games have showed some of the poorest storytelling of not just video games but stories in general. Even the worst fanfics laugh at Sonic 06.

C'mon now, there's no way you don't cringe when watching Sonic & The Black Knight unfold in front of your eyes.

I must admit, that is one of the most dramatic and masterful moments in video game history. The fact that Knuckles is a red hedgehog that's supposed to be cool really helps bringing it home.

OK yeah that was pretty stupid of me BUT can I still save my statement by asking if anyone else agrees that nobody in the Sonic world looks nothing like the animal their supposed to be? I mean would you guess Sonic is a hedgehog if you didn't know? :P

Well Tails looks like a fox easily because of his tails but I agree there.

I absolutely despise the Sonic storybook series, NEVER liked it, I rented Secret Rings a long time back, I liked it at first but revisiting it a second time I really dislike it, the game plays way too much for you.

Secret Rings was a pain to play, sonic goes forward by himself and you can't stop him. Didn't like it at all. The mini games for multiplayer were fun though.

I remember the party games being 'okayish', other than that, the game was simply terrible for me, but no disaster like Sonic 06.
I even found the story of Secret Rings and Black Knight extremely cringe-worthy. "Hey are you Tails?" "Oh, no I'm Ali Baba." For fuck sakes, it's TAILS. If Sega does have any thoughts on making a new addition to the storybook series they better be damn careful, the problem I had is not being able to control Sonic fully and the extremely unforgettable levels.

Oh god Ali Baba, Sega could have made some new characters instead. The only thing I liked about Sonic 06 Is Mephiles,Iblis and the soundtrack. Everything else sucked.

One of my favorite commentary groups Brain Scratch Comms brought this up, but were does Sonic keep finding these demented storybooks that keep sucking him in?
