Re: The SPORE topic
I made it to the galactic core, too. I needed an interstellar drive 5, a shield thing (I think?) an automatic turret and stuff.
It was a long time ago, I don't clearly remember.

I required all of that myself.THEdragon wrote:I made it to the galactic core, too. I needed an interstellar drive 5, a shield thing (I think?) an automatic turret and stuff.

If you can, try colonising a close uninhabited system nearby, that way, if you die, you won't lose much of your progress towards the core.
Re: The SPORE topic
Doesn't one respawn at the home planet, though? Or does my memory serve me incorrect information?Master wrote:If you can, try colonising a close uninhabited system nearby, that way, if you die, you won't lose much of your progress towards the core.

Re: The SPORE topic
I'm pretty sure you respawn at the nearest colony, but I could be wrong.
Re: The SPORE topic
I don't know, I haven't even played Spore in a very long time, let alone died in the space stage.Master wrote:I'm pretty sure you respawn at the nearest colony, but I could be wrong.
Re: The SPORE topic
I remember playing Spore on the DS. It was pretty fun. Any recommended games?

Re: The SPORE topic
Ah, yes, the DS Spore is more a sort of RPG, and doesn't really relate to the normal PC Spore other than in title and in the ability to create creatures.
Re: The SPORE topic
I played DS Spore too. I liked the soundtrack.

I recall enjoying it too, a pity I cannot find it on the interwebs.
Re: The SPORE topic
I passed by FNAC today and I found SPORE: Creepy and Cute's copy for PC in a promotions bin and it was only costing 1€. Only thinking I gave 20€ for it back in the release.

Re: The SPORE topic
I wish Maxis would make a Spore 2. Or someone make a spiritual successor or game out of the idea of Spore.
Dunno If I mentioned this before, by chance, but every now and then, each year I pick up Spore replay it till I get bored, dunno why it feels so addicting and fun at first then feel so outdated and boring after. I'm not speaking of the Space time specifically.

Re: The SPORE topic
I would really want a Spore 2 or just a mega update on the current one with new FREE ( its not worth paying $25 for 50 or so parts and 16 new skin textures, seriously .) body parts, new skin textures, an ability to change the eyes colors would be great too. Also, ability to make plants, I saw that there is a plant folder in the " My Spore Creation" folder and I never knew what was its use for. Maybe a fix for legs going extremely fast for no reasons because it got short legs or a different pair of legs, its a "bug" I always disliked. Make the Cell stage a bit longer? Its like as if you grew a meter long and that 3 minutes ago you were not even a millimeter.
Also, bug fixes, I got stuck in an egg the other day and on a tree because of the geysers.
I still play it once in a while but it gets boring a bit when you did everything.

Re: The SPORE topic
Funny enough I saw the Creepy and Cute pack in FNAC for 1€ only, but I already own it.
I just wished that it wasn't so tough to level up your ranking in the Adventures Expansion, it was a reason to really stop playing.

Re: The SPORE topic
All this talk of how SPORE could do with some refreshing reminds me when I posted this:
I'd still love to see that iteration come to light.Master wrote:It's a shame SPORE didn't end up how it was meant to be originally:
OK, it wouldn't appeal to the younger audience, but it's certainly in depth.
Re: The SPORE topic
Oh are you kidding me this looks way better than the final product.
I wished they would have at least kept the Sea like stage, would have been more realistic.

Re: The SPORE topic
Yeah, I've raved about it before, that, right there, could've turned into something truly glorious. The final thing isn't bad by any means, but it's sad to think that this is the husk left from such a promising idea.
Re: The SPORE topic
Someone could do a game like what Spore failed to do. But I can dream. I still enjoy Spore anyway, I just think it goes way too fast to my taste.

Re: The SPORE topic
Concurred, I know it's not easy to simulate the whole growing from cell to becoming galactic explorers, but I'd have liked for more concepts to have been made. For instance, cities are very big or the planet is very tiny, I'd love for countries to be actual countries, not just little chunks of land with a few geysers here and there.
Re: The SPORE topic
Its like as if the planet because extremely tiny or that our creatures because giants, not like an ogre or whatever those big ones are called in English but close to. But then I think about how everything is really tiny in file size so that everything can work right and I can understand that.
