Re: Off Topic
If Sega made Dreamcast 2, made it compatible with Saturn and Dreamcast games, made it Region Free, made that basically every unit can also be dev kit so we can also use it for ripping Dreamcast ISOS, I bet sales would be huge.
I wish Sega does it but I don't know. Sometimes I like to imagine that in alternative universe Nintendo lost and that Sega won. It is interesting thought. I bet even Sonic games would even be different.

True. I actually think Dreamcast 2 would stand a chance against Xbox One at least. Imagine if Jet Set Radio, Shenmue 3 and Sonic Adventure 3 were launch titles?

If they would make it region free and backup compatible then mostly I think it would be just an update of the first modell, because older games are getting rarer and rarer.

Re: Off Topic
Ehh, the notion of SEGA manufacturing a console, especially seeing all the other venues for gaming nowadays, coupled with recent restructuring to deal with these new venues, makes it highly unlikely for them to do so.

A sour fate? Both the Xbox One and PS4 are probably going to do equally as well, and there's nothing wrong with that. Too many people despise the One for not solely being a gaming console, and it's nauseating. I actually commend Microsoft for attempting to be its own thing so that they aren't just the same products being manufactured by two different companies.

Re: Off Topic
Destiny is for ps4 as well sonny jim and Xbox also has stuff like Fable: Legends and that game made by the guys who did Alan Wake.dartofthedavros wrote: this is true...but i wish halo 5, destiny and fantasia wern't the only xbox exclusive titles while playstation (and obviously nintendo) churn out new and amazing exclusives at every turn. its about pride in one's system I suppose. will likley get officially dubbed "XBONE" if other practical games were exclusive to it alone.

@Dart:
They aren't though, it also has Dead Rising 3, Killer Instict, Ryse, Fable, Forza, etc.
Besides, I've expressed my distain for such a high amount of third-party exclusives before. Sony doesn't make these exclusives, they just pay developers to only release the game on their console. I hate this because it's the prevention of artistic integrity in the search for cash; fewer people will have the opportunity to play the game the developers worked so hard to make so that the executives get paid right away.
I don't mind a few exclusive companies such as Naughty Dog being willingly tied to Sony, but I'm very troubled by the totally overboard extent Sony has gone to to ensure that they completely rob the market. A console shouldn't be praised for having so many exclusives, because you're in turn literally praising and encouraging the act of selling out and buying your way to success. Not that Microsoft isn't guilty of this to an extent as well, but Sony takes this to a whole new level of corporate greed.
Sure, the PS4 and its exclusives may be totally great an you should buy whatever the fuck you like most, but disliking/hating a console for its lack of exclusives is disgustingly hypocritical.

Sony tends to buy the rights to the franchises these studios make as well, hence why other consoles won't ever see the likes of Ratchet, Jak, Sly, Nathan Drake, Cole McGrath and so on.
However, I don't think all the studios are exclusively owned by Sony, Insomniac Games, for one, began to develop games for the 360 in tandem with the PS3, though of course, they can't put Ratchet and Clank on the 360.

I'm still going with Xbox One despise it having said price. Because I always have been with the Xbox and would like to go on with it but also because I'm a big fan of the Halo series. I don't think the price will do much of a change to those who actually wants it. I'm thinking the same thing as Adsolution here.sergiomonty wrote:With such price, I DON'T THINK SO.Adsolution wrote:A sour fate? Both the Xbox One and PS4 are probably going to do equally as well.
Re: Off Topic
Well most of Sonys exclusives come from studios they actually own, Microsoft tends to be the company that pays for exclusive rights to games from third parties such as Titan fall, Ryse and Dead Rising 3, not to mention paying Bungie and Epic, again third party companies, to make Halo and Gears exclusively for xbox. Microsoft actually own Halo as an IP now however, all these other games could have been released elsewhere as they're third party. Sony made the smart move of establishing 1st party studios in the past, if you look at Sonys exclusive line up for Ps4 compared to the ones from Microsoft, Killzone, drive Club knack and Infamous aswell as the confirmed in development games from naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica and Media Molecule are all from in house developers from Sony who have been developing games exclusively since the Ps1/2 days. Whereas its only Halo,Fable and forza that are from Microsofts owned studios whilst Titan fall, Ryse and Dead Rising 3 are bought or timed, as Microsoft dosent have the established and diverse range of 1st party studios as Sony. At the end of the day the exclusives are a major factor of what makes each console unique, and creates nice competition on the market. For a while Microsoft kept relying on buying out early call of Duty DlC instead and simply pumping out the odd Halo, gears or Forza game, which wasn't my cup of tea. XD
