Indeed we are a smaller community, but a great one at that. I feel like I know everyone here.ZeptoRay wrote:Yes but here its a small community ( I say small because there is about only 40-70 people active ) so there is less of people posting and less of things to reply to.tuxdude143 wrote:I reached 1000 posts on one fourm in just under a monthAlso try to not double post, there is an edit button if you want to add something.
edit: Ironically, I almost double posted because I accidentally pressed twice on the post button.
I think what makes internet communication easier is that we have the ability to think things trough. Someone might say something stupid but in real life it may be said to you in situation where you can't take a minute to think about what the other person just replied and think of a good way to respond, resulting in you not getting to give a good argument against it. Internet communication isn't good for everyone though. Some people who are fragile or target in real life may use the internet to try and pretend like their someone else.tuxdude143 wrote:Agreed. I'm Tons better at expressing myself on the internet than I am in real life. My social skills suck. Still, being an aspie is probably one contributing factor as to why people don't like me that much. It sucks.
And, of course, on the web we can go to places where we share interests, and usually those people have some other things in common. The people here on RPC are nothing like the people on a cooking forum. And in real life RPC members and a cooking forum's members are mixed together.
