Yeah. Still my parents don't really have interest in my retro game collection so they won't sell it. They in fact help me build my collectionZeptoRay wrote:It sure is, the fact that I do efforts to get them but apparently I don't own them and can be taken away or even sold by my parents is one of the things that upset me a lot.

Don't think that eighteen is the free zone though, because unless you're technical about it, your parents still pretty much have complete control over you. The technical difference is that when you're a minor, your parents are allowed to punish you as they please against your will, but they aren't allowed to abandon you; when you're no longer a minor, it's now your choice whether you give in, but the agreement is that you must allow them to 'punish' you, else you no longer have a home.ZeptoRay wrote:Even there he would take it away because I own anything until I'm 18 apparently.
I'm not sure if your dad is like that, but it's just something to take note of.
Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day.
I'm not thinking its a free zone or anything, I'm actually stressed by that. But no, my dad nor my mom is like that, they wouldn't throw me out since its not what they wish to do but would rather help me.

My router and modem disconnect often. Quite annoying.Master wrote:- Connection to router is a little unstable.
I'm sorry to hear that. I don't have anything to do but go to school and live on the laptop when not in schoo myself, I was just saying that it's not all that life has to offer.ZeptoRay wrote: Maybe for you but I can't do anything else really, I sit on the couch all day with my laptop, I have nothing else to do.I wish I had something else to do than drawing but meh I guess I can't do anything else.

Yeah I know, I could do something better with my life, but I think i'm going to focus on what I like and what I have to do right now.

Hm, I feel for you guys, I worried when it came to doing my Personal Statement because you had to mention things like hobbies and outside activities, and I don't really have much of either.

What a fail logic.ZeptoRay wrote: Even there he would take it away because I own anything until I'm 18 apparently.
What if it was a cell phone you signed contract for? I am sure that would even be illegal to be sold even if you signed it as a 16 year old since it is signed that you own it.ZeptoRay wrote:It sure is, the fact that I do efforts to get them but apparently I don't own them and can be taken away or even sold by my parents is one of the things that upset me a lot.
My friend was sick of his father and when he tried to punish him when he turned 18 he was like: "fuck that" and he packed his stuff and left home forever.Adsolution wrote:Don't think that eighteen is the free zone though, because unless you're technical about it, your parents still pretty much have complete control over you. I don't have a cell phone and don't wish to have one either. But I don't think they would go to the point of being illegal but they could sell my laptop and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it.OldClassicGamer wrote:What if it was a cell phone you signed contract for? Well when you purchased laptop, who signed contract? Or you bought it full price without signing contract?ZeptoRay wrote:I don't have a cell phone and don't wish to have one either. I was unaware that one needed to sign a contract to buy a laptop.

Since when do you sign contracts for laptops? We got it full price at wal-mart.OldClassicGamer wrote:Well when you purchased laptop, who signed contract? Rereading that post, I think OCG meant if you were to obtain it then and there, and then pay back for it over time, essentially loaning it, methinks. I don't know if one has to sign for that.

Wal-Mart is also in Canada? I figured they had one of the other "Wal-Mart family" members. Although it doesn't really matter.ZeptoRay wrote:Since when do you sign contracts for laptops? We got it full price at wal-mart.

During my most recent visit to Britain I came across a supermarket named "ASDA: Part of the Wal-Mart Family". Since I have been milking jokes about this family relating to the Mafia. It seems the Brits are in more luck then us because ASDA makes the store a bit more appealing to look at:ZeptoRay wrote:I got no idea what the Wal-Mart family is but yes, we have Wal-mart.

I'll check it out.ZeptoRay wrote:Dragon's Prophet.
