Re: Rayman fonts
I've seen Droolie's Rayman 2 font used many-a-times outside here, heck, I've used them myself.
Re: Rayman fonts
I posted them so you all can use them, so feel free to use them as much as you want!emshomar wrote:Thank you for much for these fonts! You have nothing against if I use one someday?
Re: Rayman fonts
Droodie, when i right click on page and save on my computer, the file came out on TXT format
help me!!!!
Re: Rayman fonts
Hey there, welcome to Pirate-Community! You can introduce yourself here.Ray_1fan wrote:Droodie, when i right click on page and save on my computer, the file came out on TXT formathelp me!!!!
As for your question: you need to right-click on the link to the font you want to download. You don't need to click on the page, nor follow the link and click there, but you need to right-cick on the actual link. It should be in TTF format. Hope that helps
Re: Rayman fonts
why is it when I try to download the fonts, it gives me a page with no way to download it?

Re: Rayman fonts
Did you right click the links and use the "save target as" option?
Re: Rayman fonts
I'd like to do the translation installer for my language version of Rayman 2 PC, to
apply for English GOG version. I know that all in-game text dialogs are in
Rayman 2\Data\World\Levels\ all files instead LEVELS0.dat
But, where I should looking for font to my language version? It's different.
When I apply my files, type shows german characters.
Where is type file in game files?
Thank you.

Re: Rayman fonts
Can you explain a bit better, you wanna translate your game or you wanna extract font?
Re: Rayman fonts
I have to put ready translate (fix.sna.. etc. files) to other version of game, but I need also a place where is fonts, because they are different in both versions, and they need to be replaced to view correct characters.
I don't need extract fonts. Just where they are.
One file I guess.

Re: Rayman fonts
The fonts are textures. Each letter and each number is a different texture. You would have to extract them from TEXTURES.CNT.

Re: Rayman fonts
There's already textures in Rayman 2 for almost every version of the Roman alphabet imaginable. Unless you're trying to translate the game to Arabic, there should be no problem displaying text in your language. I've come across umlauts, circumflexes, cedilles, æ, ø, and more like those when browsing the font textures.
Re: Rayman fonts
Yes, this textures with special characters may exist in every version of Rayman, but it's not the same file. Different checksums, but same size.
It's just matter of replace textures.cnt, unless indeed it may contain same characters, but maybe in different order, so game displays wrong characters, maybe I don't know. Anyway, letters are fine now and thank you for help!
Precise location of the font textures:
Rayman Control Panel>Utilities>CNT Explorer>Textures.cnt>textures_alphabet>Import
>Polish fonts download (if your custom textures.cnt has broken fonts):

>mark and choose extracted folder textures_alphabet>wait>close>
Optionally if you changed texture resolution

I don't know any way to comparise files from two sources, their differences to find different files from other source. If you understand.
I have to similar folders, i need find what files are different to theirselves.
Do you know something for it?
Windowed Mode fix
GOG version has f* up access to GXSetup which is responsible for settings. It's because some files is missing.
Just use my fix and get GXSetup back (run as admin) to set resolution,
install nGlide, and get also full screen back and better graphics.

Re: Rayman fonts
Comparison tools of the like you describe are what programmers use to compare different builds to each other. They're awesome, but they're also costly. Expect software of around $40-60 to achieve what you want.
There is also this
http://winmerge.org/
but I don't know how effective it is at what it does.

Just for note, that isn't a word. The word you're looking for is compare.deton24 wrote:comparise
Re: Rayman fonts
I meant more comparison then, that word exist... Thanks
Is this common mistake or I only made it?

Re: Rayman fonts
Thanks you so much for the R1 fonts!
Re: Rayman fonts
A quick question : for my new job, I have to make a prospectus to present a kids activity, and I'd like to incorporate the R1 font because it's just the cutest thing and I think it'll fit just perfectly.
The question then, is it copyrighted by Ubisoft (or, for that matter, by anyone)?

Re: Rayman fonts
Are you going to be selling anything, making any profits off of it? I'm sure it's fine either way. It's not like there's copyright legislation officers attending each and every meeting or presentation every Jack, Tom and Bob-o James-Ricky May Jameson give.

Re: Rayman fonts
I'm curious as to why you're not so keen on Johnny Boston, Billy-Rick Thompson and Jimmy McCaw.
