Re: Rayman 1
Seeing as we're on a new page, I'd like to repeat my request:
Master wrote:I was watching a run of Rayman 1 on the Saturn, and I think Rayman's idle sprite (ie. when he's still), is slightly different to that in other versions, could someone compare and have screenshots posted to confirm or deny?

Re: Rayman 1
I'm not sure. I know the Japanese PSX and DOS versions have different idle animations, though. From what I remember (from playing on my Saturn), it had the normal idle animation, though.Master wrote:I was watching a run of Rayman 1 on the Saturn, and I think Rayman's idle sprite (ie. when he's still), is slightly different to that in other versions, could someone compare and have screenshots posted to confirm or deny?
The game seems to run a little slower on the Saturn, though.

Re: Rayman 1
Ah, not the idle animation, but the actual sprite, I think I noticed that Rayman's hands are different when just standing in the Saturn version compared to the PS1 version. However, I'm not too sure, hence my request that someone play the two versions and take screenshots of Rayman standing still for comparisons sake.

I checked and they are the same. I'll go give another look see.
EDIT: Seems I'm mistaken, sorry for the fuss.

Re: Rayman 1
I was checking playthroughs on the real console, to be sure it wasn't an emulator bug (despite how unlikely that would be). Otherwise, I would have used Haruka's walkthrough for PlayStation as well. (I'm thinking about doing a walkthrough of the Saturn version as well, though.emshomar wrote:And what about OCG's let's play
Also, about your issue for Rayman for PS2 (old news, sorry), the game has always run better for me on the PS3 than on PS2. On a related note, I kinda wish I had got the 60GB backwards-compatible PS3 instead of a PS2, so I wouldn't have to deal with memory cards and controllers and all the other bullshit.
I'm hoping to do commentary with him on the final level.

That scenario doesn't seem applicable, given the difference in content.

Fair enough, I should have merged 'em then and there.
Merging 'em now.
Please, pay attention next time.

Re: Rayman 1
Has anybody else noticed that at the end of the Bzzit boss fight, one of Bzzit's hands magically turns white?
Re: Rayman 1
Yeah, I've noticed his hands turn from pink to white and vice versa several times.

I think he meant finishing as in ridding it of Mr. Dark, the candy is yours, footsteps and all.

Why would one want to eat the candy in Candy Château anyway? It's probably been stepped on countless times, left out in the sun for goodness knows how long, and collected much bacteria in the time that it's existed.
