Ugh, you thought that Knuckles design was a good idea?! You don't go and change a character like that! Seriously? I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm nitpicking but, really, that?

A lot of fans seem to be doing this, and it's "GREEN EYES SANIK" all over again.
Let's get to teh most important aspect, teh character design :P

Jokes aside, I still have feeling they will turn Knuckles into racist stereotype and I am not liking that.

Some people were even calling Knuckles racist N word in Sonic fanbase. I believe it is because his theme was a rap song, because of voice and because they think he resembles person from Jamaica due to his shoes. Now they will most likely turn him into guy on steroids with Mr T voice.

I call all of that bullshit

Oh, for crying out loud. There's no point coming up with all of these crazy ideas from a simple silhouette, we have no idea how things will turn out.

It's no issue, but I think people ought to see the redesigns themselves before putting on their naysayer hats, and this whole thing about personality? We don't know anything at all, the fact that people are somehow translating a simple shadow into an entire personality baffles me.

Knuckles never was a racist stereotype. The rap songs really fitted his personality in the older games - he was an isolated figure who found it difficult to socialise. He was used to living on his own, protecting the Master Emerald. That's why he was always tough, but would occasionally mess up due to being a bit gullible. Almost every time Knuckles reaches out to someone by accepting their help, he gets double-crossed, which is partly where his tough and "gangsta" personality came from. He had to be tough and isolated, because that's what he did best. This was also why his relationship with Sonic was always interesting - despite being rivals, he learns more and more that Sonic is trustworthy. Ironic that his most trusted companion is someone he is very competitive with. This trust later extends to other characters, like Tails and Amy, and to some extent, Rouge (as she represents his first experience with female charm, and he irrationally is nice to her at times because of that).

I just hope they don't try to make Sonic too trendy. Then again I'm probably not gonna watch this anyway so meh.

I feel like I'm obligated to watch it regardless of it's quality as tons of people are going to ask me what I think of it anyway.

Y'know, I hope the series touches on what you've said, Brawler.
I'll follow it if I can, I'm interested to see how it turns out.

I know he is not racist stereotype. I just said reasons that I think why some other people think he is, and seeing that he will look like on steroids, I remembered Crunch Bandicoot - a character who is also red, looks like on steroids and has Mr T voice. I would hate to see Knuckles turned into something like that, but Master is right. It is way too early to judge the show now.

So, people seem to be upset about the 25 extra lives and the Sonic Omochao pre-order thing. It's like they forgot the Deadly Six Edition exist.

Nah, it's a 3DS preorder incentive, not a Wii U one.

Actually, it's a Wii U one. I've preordered the Wii U version on ShopTo, and they told me I'm getting 3 DLC codes.

One is for the Deadly Six Edition's NiGHTS DLC.
The other two are for the ShopTo exclusive bonuses (Golden Omachao RC vehicle, and 5 Black Bomb Wisps).

The Sonic Omachao is a pre-order bonus for Amazon pre-orders, and the 25 extra lives is for GameStop US pre-orders.

Also, the models shown in the advertisement are blatantly Wii U models.

Huh, then I retract my previous statement, I was under the impression that they were for 3DS.
