Yeah it's easy to set the PC version to HD, but it doesn't solve low res textures etc.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
Meh, I couldn't careless about the quality of the textures as long as its not pixel galore its fine to me.

Yes, though I find it pretty annoying to have to go to the menu to change it every time I do the other thing.ZeptoRay wrote:Aren't the controls settings for this just reversed? I put them back to normal just by going in options. This also affects the flying vehicle thing and its weapon.Adsolution wrote:- The first-person controls for the Shock Rocket and View modes are different for some reason, resulting in a constant confusion.

Not to mention that aged graphics can be charming sometimes. While better, Rayman 3 HD doesn't seem to have a huge visual update.ZeptoRay wrote:Meh, I couldn't careless about the quality of the textures as long as its not pixel galore its fine to me.
For an HD texture update a game should look more aged in my opinion. Rayman 3 doesn't look old at all. The HD update is nice but it isn't anything like this:

Yeah I can relate to that, I have to set up the keyboard controls on the PC version every time I want to play because it wont let me save the settings which is pretty annoying, can't imagine to have to set it back to whatever every time for different things.Adsolution wrote:Yes, though I find it pretty annoying to have to go to the menu to change it every time I do the other thing.ZeptoRay wrote:Aren't the controls settings for this just reversed? Rayman 3 didn't really need a HD version honestly, it just fucked it up instead and the quality was already pretty decent without the HD. Instead they could have just made the quality better without changing the textures and things like that and even cutting things out which was pretty useless to do. I'm good with my good old xbox version.Keane wrote:Not to mention that aged graphics can be charming sometimes. And yeah, I'd rather see a HD remake like that than what they did with Rayman 3. A bit like the Halo:Combat Evolved Anniversary that is a complete HD remake with possibility to switch back to the precedent version of it. ( By pressing the Back button on the 360 controller if I remember, would change between the old and new version at any time in the game. )

Blimey Ad, I had no idea that was the degree of crappyness the HD remake presented.
Nah, what I mean was to fix the HUD to actually look proper when applying the trick, and force cutscenes to work as well. Though a little work in modelling and textures would be a neat touch, though it won't be quite as hefty of an upgrade compared to Rayman 2 to HD.ZeptoRay wrote:It looks pretty HD on my laptop? Well at least, a better quality than the Xbox version which looked extremely blurry, maybe its just my TV dying though.Master wrote:A pity modding isn't feasible, I think a few touches to the PC version of Rayman 3 could easily make it look spectacular and proper in HD, heck, it can run in it properly, for the most part.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
It would have made much more sense the creation of a Rayman 1 HD rather than a Rayman 3 HD. It isn't like the R3 graphics are utterly outdated and unpleasant (I also don't find the R1 graphics unpleasant by the way). That glitch from the Tower of the Leptys makes me wonder how QCs were made in Shangai.

Tell me about it, the crappily implemented skyboxes, the lsd water, ugh. The game looks better when applying the 16:9 trick on the original, heck, if one were to replace the elements which are affected by the trick into 16:9 compatible elements, the PC version of Rayman 3 would be the true HD iteration.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
Anyone ever fixed black screen on cinematic scenes when applying 16:9 trick?

I don't think so, hence my suggestion.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
What is that 16:9 trick? Although for me on the PC version the major cutscenes ( the one you can see in the extras ) doesn't play, they skip and just continues with the game itself.

Meh, by modifying the resolution in Ubi.ini, one can for Rayman 3 to run in widescreen, there are some side effects however, the menus and hud will look weird for instance, and cutscenes will play, but you won't see anything.

Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
You can also force the application of anti-aliasing in the nVidia/AMD control panel, which makes the game look just that much more gorgeous.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
How to do that? There is a quite number of games I would like to apply anti-aliasing. Including some newer games that do not have it in options.Adsolution wrote:You can also force the application of anti-aliasing in the nVidia/AMD control panel, which makes the game look just that much more gorgeous.

Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
As Ad said, go into your GPU's options.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
Only thing I found similar in Control Panel is option called Perform Scaling on GPU, but I am not sure if that is anti-aliasing. Could someone send me screenshot of how to apply anti-aliasing?
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
That depends on you GPU and driver version. If you have the lastest AMD/Nvidia drivers it shouldn't be hard to find.
Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
I did successfuly found it.

Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
Considering a new 3D Rayman game, I posted something similair in the future Rayman games topic but I wonder.
Could this years E3 possibly reveal a 3D Rayman game? Or even any Rayman game to begin with? Origins is great and Legends is a definite buy but they're too similair for my taste, if you look at Rayman 2 and 3, they're in the same genre, yet play differently, y'know.

Re: Will there ever be a new 3D Rayman Game?
As I stated before, I'd like to see a new 3D Rayman game, with the style and atmosphere of Origins/Legends.
