It doesn't seem to be coming out this week.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Damn, why can't I go on Japanese eShop?
I go on Japanese PSN on American PS3 all the time.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Because Nintendo, region-locking, yaddayaddayadda.........
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
They should really change that. They say they wont because of cultural differences but Sony did it and they had no legal issues and even Microsoft (American company, remember how much Americans censor Japanese stuff) did it. I can bet in million Lums Nintendo would not be in legal issues if they released 3DS and Wii U firmware update that makes them region free. They would only make import gamers happy. I personally think cultural difference is just excuse while in reality they wont make their systems region free because they are afraid of people who would import games for cheaper.

Also, I don't know who this guy is, but it's making me very worried for Lost World. I know I shouldn't let reviewers decide my opinion, but two somewhat negative thoughts in a row, I'm kinda worried. https://twitter.com/Nintex_nl/status/388381249565241344
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
People hated Unleashed and Colors and those were good games. Don't worry. Sonic Lost World is gonna be awesome

More so Unleashed than Colors, which actually got very positive reviews. Still looking forward to the game, I'm just a little nervous that is, I had the same feeling with Colors, and even Generations.OldClassicGamer wrote:People hated Unleashed and Colors and those were good games. Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I personally didn't like Unleashed too much. The day stages were a blast but that fun had ended way too quickly. However despite most hatred towards the werehog levels some people have, the level design in my opinion is absolutely beautiful at night, especially Adabat, it's a shame they couldn't have used Day time Sonic for those though, as a rather big fan of beat em ups such as Streets of Rage and Final Fight, I felt the combat in the game was very repetitive, I didn't mind the RPG elements, but the night levels just got extremely tedious for me.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
The RPG elements just bored me and all I cared about was moving on with the actual game. The werehog stages were OK at first but lacked creativity and variety to the point where it just felt like more things keeping you from the real fun that is the daylight stages.

The Sonic Generations capture test I posted on the last page is fully processed. Looks much better now. Try 1080p resolution!

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I hated Unleashed, I couldn't force myself to finish the game.
Colors (DS) however was quite neat.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
It seems 3DS version has full voice acting as well
I really hope that Japanese voices will fit on cartridge in European and American version.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Ah, Knux is in there, good to see you back in a story role, old Echidna!
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I was happy to see him as well. I would also like if he was playable. I want Knuckles to be playable in 3D game without collecting stupid emerald pieces. I really wish for Sonic game with good Knuckles gameplay in 3D. It seems that in past only 2D games got his gameplay good.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I think Knux has plenty of potential, his gliding ability and more action based nature actually could make him an easier character to develop a game over, heck, the Warehog stages from Unleashed, flawed as they were, could be adapted and improved on, given their nature, it'd fit Knux pretty well.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Well said. Plus I did not found Warehog bad at all (in Next Gen version). If it was Knux instead of Warehog, I also bet more fans would like it.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I don't know, bad design and mechanics don't become any better just 'cuz the character is different, the Werehog stages were onto something, if they do want to make Knux in that style, methinks they should considerably refine and review the mechanics it possessed in Unleashed.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Werehog gameplay with Knuckles. Just fix it up and give Knuckles his signature abilities and your good to go.Master wrote:I don't know, bad design and mechanics don't become any better just 'cuz the character is different, the Werehog stages were onto something, if they do want to make Knux in that style, methinks they should considerably refine and review the mechanics it possessed in Unleashed.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Still no word on any demo, aye? Agh... maybe next Thursday.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic almost always is first in America. I am surprised that Japanese got demo first. Although I did notice that English version of 3DS version when played did not have Sonic's sound effects by either Roger or Kanemaru. Also when you finish stage in English version of 3DS shown on YouTube, Sonic does not say Congratulations while he does in Japanese version. Perhaps they are adding sound effects in English version and since it is taking slower time, it is possible they are gonna add both English and Japanese voices.
