I've seen footage already, 'tis pretty awesome, I must say.
I saw footage of the MewTwo fight, neat remix of his theme (Kanto wild Pokemon).

Still, I'm sure X and Y have officially come out in some parts of the world.
I'm weeping.
No idea. But it's not exactly my fault I pre-ordered it and got it early.

Ugh, I wish I could revel in that same feeling...
But enough of my moping, I've seen the footage, and I think it is most impressive.

Though in honesty, the Pokemon League of Kalos seems to favour style over substance, I don't know, the fights themselves didn't seem to be anything as bad as those from previous gens, but it could just be because the trainers were good.

I myself have reached the town of the 2nd gym, although I have decided to backtrack to capture Croagunk to replace my current Pancham. Might need to consider getting more bird Pokemon though as sky battles are starting to pop up; gonna be needing a complete team over haul at this rate!

Hm, still got to keep typing in mind though, hm?
So, how do you transfer Pokes from Gen V then? Do you need to be at a certain point?

Yes my typing is awful at this rate, having 2 water types (the 2 starters) and Fire types (Combusken and the Fire/Flying bird which is only there because it is the only one which can fly). Croagunk would be a god send given that fighting will do well in this gym plus poison is super against fairy. The Drifloon I caught may be replacing the fire bird, and I might have a pokemon replacing 1 of my starters but I still don't know.

The Poke Bank app is the only way to transfer Pokemon.

I'm aware of that, I'm just curious if there are any prerequisites before the transfer is able to be done, like how you needed to beat the champion and have the national dex to get to Pal Park in Gen IV, or find the PokeTransfer in Gen V.

It wouldn't be relevant for most given that the apps not out til December. The way it sounds however grabbing the pokemon from Gen V would be instant given that the PokeBank is just a storage system. As for bringing it to Gen VI 'tis yet to be revealed.

I'm currently using Frogadier (called Globox) Charmeleon, Pidgeotto and Pancham. I'm gonna get myself an electric type and then finally a ground type for the last party slot, so I'll be super effective against every type except fairy.

Out of curiosity I looked at the no. of Pokemon introduced and amazingly there's only 68 new Pokemon this Gen (At least from what's been recorded as of now), this beats Gen 2 which only added 99 pokemon.

Meh, I heard some rants over it, personally, I'm not fussed, it seems this Gen is more about overhauling the entire experience and refining it into something completely awesome and relevant to today's technology, rather than a formulaic step forward.

I agree, seeing my favourite older Pokemon in 3d, as well as Mega-Evolutions, more than makes up for it in my opinion.

I'm very conflicted about the idea. I have nothing completely against having loads (And I do mean loads) of old Pokemon appearing in the game but at the same time it feels underwhelming that you're in a new region and you don't see all that many new pokemon. Although I beg to ponder how close Kalos is to the other regions considering the large roster from Hoenn specifically.

From what I've seen, Kalos has a much warmer temperament unlike Sinnoh and Unova, but rather akin to Hoenn, it's a possibility that they're close by.

Yes, I especially think of both Hoenn champs when looking at most of the scenery in the game. You do have a region obsessed with beauty and rocks after all.

Yesterday night I went to FNAC and I gave a try to the 2DS and the new Pokémon title. It does looks impressive, but I have no idea when I can get my own copy. About the 2DS though, the buttons are better than the original 3DS but the ergonomy of 2DS feels awkward.

It would, but honestly, seeing as its cheaper, if it would make X and Y a more fathomable option, I'd go for it. Though optimally, I'd like an XL, I just want Pokemon so badly.
