I remember when I heard the special edition of Generations was a UK exclusive. That PISSED ME OFF!

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
It's never redundant to release a demo. It gives those who are skeptical a chance to try before they buy. Me personally, I wanted the demo so I could get used to the new controls and move set before diving into the game, as well as getting the opportunity to try the 3DS version (which I won't be getting for a while), and make comparisons.SegaNintendoUbisoft wrote:Besides, the full game releases this week for the Europeans (lucky). At least the full game has the excuse of having to ship physical copies to different regions. This is a non-issue with the demo.
And the Special Edition of Generations was not UK exclusive, it was also available in other European countries, as well as Austrailia. The same applied to the Generations Collector's Edition. I bought my copy of the latter from Amazon Germany.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I used the wrong word there, I apologize, I knew it was in other European countries, but my point still stands, they should of released it worldwide. Anyways, redundant wasn't the right word either, I'll just say odd. My whole statement was filled with wrong words wasn't it?sonicbrawler182 wrote:It's never redundant to release a demo. It updates around Thursday.OldClassicGamer wrote:Well you did make a good point. When is eShop updating again?
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Not to mention that because it was European version, it is slower too. US Special edition would have been nice

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
It's all got to do with Sonic's rising popularity in Europe, and falling popularity in the US.
Still, you guys got a Sonic playground. :I
Not to mention the Sonic Boom concert every year, and Sonic Generations of Skate.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Europe has Summer of Sonic, which is bigger than Sonic Boom. I think Sonic always had been bigger in Europe than America, even during the Genesis days. The fact that you guys have a Sonic ride at Alton Towers along with a Sonic themed hotel room in said park says a lot.

Ehh, I'll admit, I get very annoyed when it comes to misleading pranks like this, waste of my time.
Luckily, you kindly informed everyone that this was not real, so I guess no time wasted! Thank you, OCG.

I don't like misleading pranks myself that much but this model is a joke. I had to share it here

Yeah, but would be rather mean of us to point and laugh at something that someone might have worked hard at, but lacked the skills to create completely.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I agree with everything. I never mind design changes. I only hate if character changes personality but thats not case for Sonic. He always was and always will be a cool Hedgehog with attitude.
Plus Modern Sonic was always DBZ inspired and DBZ is awesome.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Certain aspects of Sonic have always been DBZ inspired, such as the seven Chaos Emeralds (seven Dragon Balls) and Super Sonic (Super Saiyans). It's because Yuji Naka was a huge fan of DBZ, so he wanted to pay homage to it.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Decided to pay off my pre-order on Sonic Lost World. I was going to just let ShopTo automatically charge me when the game is dispatched, but I decided to pay in advance just in case my bank decides to charge my account for the currency conversion. It should be dispatched tomorrow.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Speaking of Lost World, in Europe, the game will come out earlier digitally, along with it being the Deadly Six Edition. Lucky you guys are getting it this week.
