Well, to summarise, the hinge decided to act up to the point where the casing ended up warped, this in turn meant I couldn't plug in a cord to use the laptop. And seeing as the battery was bust, I was potentially dealing with a crisis of having no laptop. My dad decided to see if he could fix the problem, and the hinge has been MacGyvered into place, and the cord is accessible, but a little screwed over, meaning I have to be careful moving the laptop or it'll fall out of its port and cause instant shut down.
The image I posted is the current state of the laptop, and the state I hope it stays in until the time comes where I can replace it.

Ah, a Balkan country. Not a fan of Balkan countries I visited but I was never in Romania so I don't know about it. Tell me do you recommend it when you return and have a nice trip.

No I don't recommend it. The city is poor and prices are redicilous. But it has some interesting places. On my first visit, just after I left the airport, a drunken dirty guy, who I don't know, came to me and yelled something in romanic. My first impression was this -> :C
