At least it's still getting a good number of positive reviews.

Hm, I'd guess BrainScratchComms would do one at one point or another, I know Johnnys own a 3DS capture device. There's also Clement, another big Sonic fan, who might also do one. Though they'd both probably go for Wii U first.

If you're looking for a 3DS Let's Play of this, cobanermani456 will be doing one, along with the Wii U version. He already did a video of both of the Japanese demos, and the 3DS one was capture quality.

Also.....An Post wasn't fast enough. :c

Yeah, the game didn't arrive today. I'll have to wait until next week before I can play it.

Which is irritating, as I was on the Miiverse community for the game, and a guy sent his copy of the game back to ShopTo without even opening the package, all because he saw GameCentral give the game a 4/10. And it cost him money to send the bloody thing back. What the hell?

It's the same on Wii U, I don't know what the story with that is.

Anyway, here's the first part of Cobi's Wii U playthrough:

Why did IGN write an article about this game called "Why slowing down is good" a few weeks ago, then make this shit review that contradicts it?

I can only assume that it was a different editor who wrote that article, as opposed to whoever did the review.

My opinion is that slowing down was a good thing. Boost to win was getting too old.

I my self use Metacritic. Anyway here http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/sonic-lost-world seems to sum up that the game have very mixed reviews. Here, Gamereactor Norway gave it 8/10.

+Creative and varied level design.
More "control" of Sonic than in previous games.
High replay value
Balanced difficulty

-Control can be imprecise.
Not being able to continue without saving a amount of animals
And Boring Bonus levels

Apparently the guy who did the Wii U Lost World review is not the same guy as any of the people who gave the game praise in the previews.

He is clearly some idiot who only plays FPS and does not have a clue what are the good games.

And I just found a part where IGN make a completely false point:

In their video review, they state that the game doesn't allow much sense of flow and speed, and then mention that Sonic 4, Colours, and Generations did this.

Only Generations did that, and to some extent, Sonic 4 Episode II, but Episode I and Colours hardly achieved this at all. The controls and physics in Sonic 4 Episode I are too floaty and against momentum building to allow this at all. And Sonic Colours' level design is built around platforming and exploring rather than going as fast as possible (to the point where the only way to S Rank most levels is to look for hidden ring stashes and abuse the Colour Powers), much like Lost World. However, Lost World actually gives you the option to go fast, with the spin dash. The spin dash in this is gravity defying, and it looks like it's possible to leap over whole sections of a level if you are good enough at utilising it (as demonstrated in the Desert Ruins speed run somebody posted earlier in this topic).

So yeah, don't trust the reviews. I can understand some of the criticisms being made about the game, but stuff like it being too hard or not allowing speed running are stupid points to make.

I don't expect everyone to love a game I'll mostly love to death, but don't knock it for things that are not even flaws.

I was a bit sadden when I saw the scores, but when I watch the reviews. No, just, no.
Apart of me feels like reviewers are hating on the franchise just for the sake of hating it. I'm still giving the game a chance.

I think Johnny confirmed a playthrough will be made shortly after the game is released. Like what they did with Generations.

I kinda like the argument from the Destructoid guy. He said that he hated the game at first, but during his second playthrough (yes, he played it twice apparently) he loved it and its level design. It's just terribly hard to get the hang of it, but when you do, you realize that speed is a prize, not the easy-paced way to play the game. Also, NGH, who am I gonna lie? The music is really, REALLY memorable.

That's something every reviewer should do, Jim Sterling made a smart move (for once).

Yeah, the Windy Hill theme has been stuck in my head since I first heard it.
