That very much depends, the line between what you could consider a 'serious' and 'non-serious' relationship is so vague. What is key is that you avoid comparing the relationships you'd have when you're thirteen to the kinds of relationships you'd have when you're twenty, just like how those should be kept apart from the kinds you have when you're sixty. You can feel an intense longing for someone, even if it's just emotional as you haven't gotten the chance to explore other possibilities - or perhaps you have, you just don't know what about it draws you to that person. If by "serious" relationships, you're referring to those that will turn into lifelong ones (I'm not), then that's moreorless luck than anything else, as you have no idea if someone will turn out to be the way you envision years later. The chances of them happening at a younger age are much slimmer given that peoples' personalities change quicker and at different rates the younger they are, but that doesn't deny the possible seriousness of the situation, despite the fact that it's almost guaranteed not to last.

No one can deny the fact that if you've ever been emotionally invested in someone, even when you're twelve or thirteen, there's been a reason for it, and you took it seriously. These relationships aren't stupid, nothing that you can feel so strongly about is.

Of course there are stupid relationships: Those that are the result of peer pressure. Those that have no meaning to you and are the result of a weak mind. However, those are all things that show up across all ages, not just teenagers, the lack of maturity and individuality that comes out of stifled environments like schools, not in any way aiding the development of an impressionable mind is what gets grown out of.

So yes, it's entirely plausible to have a 'serious' relationship when you're thirteen, but that doesn't mean they should be directly compared to the kind of 'serious' relationship you might have later on.

In a way, I almost long for the way I felt about some people I knew a few years ago. There's a kind of emotional mystery that you first experience, it keeps your mind awake at night, it's magical. I always notice my mind drifting to it - especially recently - as it inspires me. I find that some of the most satisfying art gets created when you look at the world through the eyes of your more confused, more uncertain younger self.

I believe Ad was talking to Dark Lum Lord there.
I think I've revealed enough about my own relationships in that regard, or lack thereof.

If you think that is weird then why were you even dating her in the first place. Plus you don't know her age now THAT is weird.

No, don't. Your having a rare moment in which you're having a legitimate discussion with Zep here and it would be a shame to ruin it.

You could have just said no instead. Nothing obligated you to.

I don't think others care. This is a thread where you discuss if something is bothering you and not for posting funny pictures. There is a seperate thread for that.

I feel like this something that shouldn't be dragged on because you guys'll think it's just me being a paranoid little shit but since I don't like keeping such things to myself I may as well just let it blow.

If you have not seen my posts on the Signature shop thread then to put it simply I feel like the quality of my sigs have gone shittingly bad as I have not made so many in the past, oh perhaps a year now? Which bothers me because it was always something that I can say I can do but now I feel like I can't come up with anything half decent partially because everyone else's sigs seems to be much much better than what I could ever make, particularly because most of the new ones are hand drawn (Which I could never do because my art skills are atrocious).

Of course i've been putting myself down quite heavily above which is my main problem; I simply can not see myself in a bright light because I am not as creative as most people seem to glamorize these days. Which i'm aware is a terrible mindset to have and sure enough I can just distract myself, which I do, only to return to these thoughts later. So it's this constant cycle of me not feeling like crap -> me finding some enjoyment/random moment of happiness -> me feeling selfish for that -> repeat.

Bah I guess that's all I wanted to let out, at least. But yeah.....

I think its good you shared it instead of keeping it for yourself. There is something that makes a person much better when they share their current problems. And if it means something to you, I like your sigs. This one is better than one befpre in my opinion.

I understanding feeling inferior in art, to hell whenever I see Japanese students at my school drawing anime i'm jealous as all hell. but nonetheless I still try, and I only get better so as ridiculous as it sounds just "be happy," or force yourself away from the problem like I do at times which i don't recommend. @OCG: what he said :)

I'm sorry if I made you feel like shit because mines are hand drawn? :( Don't put yourself down like this for that though, you sigs aren't bad at all, they are quite nice actually. You can always practice making some too. :(

Me being creative will never be a thing honestly, everything I draw is by pure luck if it looks good or not since I never know what I'm trying to draw, half the time it looks like shit and I just delete the file. Though, you can try to do something new that you never did with them, even if it comes out like shit you will have tried something new, its pretty much where everyone starts. You should see the sonic potatoes I was drawing 3 years ago, it was awful.

But in short: Don't put yourself down because of the skills of someone else, maybe try to improve by doing something new, looking up tutorials or even asking someone for tricks and stuff, it always help.
