I also hack consoles and do similar stuff but I don't condone piracy. I buy original games 90%. Only times when I don't is if game is piece of garbage. I also have Jtagged 360 and it is awesome testing leaked games. But I do mostly hack consoles for import games.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'll mod classic/not produced anymore console. I have right now only my PS2 with modchip allowing me to play imports as well as backups/pirated games. I never ever would play from a real copy since I fear that it might get dammaged and since these aren't produced anymore replacing them will be harder and the games will get even rarer, and that's exactly what I am trying to prevent.
Re: Rayman Legends
I will mod every console that is not region free.
I remember my PS2 HD ComBo model made circle scratch on my Crash Bandicoot import. Thank god that game still works, but the console does not anymore
I am sticking to normal PS2 that never scratched my originals so I do not need to make backups.

Re: Rayman Legends
For me, it depends if our region games will output 60hz or not. And if all games are released here.OldClassicGamer wrote:I will mod every console that is not region free.
See! That's why I don't want to play any originals.OldClassicGamer wrote:I remember my PS2 HD ComBo model made circle scratch on my Crash Bandicoot import.
Lucky boy! Back on my old PS2 consoles it destroyed the rare gray edition of Rayman 1 (I didn't even knew it was rare), then I bought as a replacement another Rayman 1 but it got destroyed as well, my Rayman 2 for PlayStation was destroyed as well and all other PS1 games I had had been destroyed by an evil PS2 console.OldClassicGamer wrote:Thank god that game still works,
Haha, you destroyed your PS2 too? Back then, I was in rage modus because my last PS1 had been destroyed and I threw my console underwater and appearently I destroyed its CMOS and Bios and some more controllers.OldClassicGamer wrote:but the console does not anymore![]()
Your opinion.OldClassicGamer wrote:I am sticking to normal PS2 that never scratched my originals so I do not need to make backups.
Re: Rayman Legends
Well so far for Wii U, there are no Japan exclusive games so I don't really wish region free that much (it would still be cool though since American games are cheaper), but 3DS on the other hand...

Re: Rayman Legends
Found a nice article about Ancel, Rayman an the montpellier studio:

It also explains the protesting a bit more:

It also explains the protesting a bit more:
eurogamer wrote: "I felt a bit like it was a trap, which is why in the picture I'm like, 'hmm... what is this?'" He mimics his puzzled face in the photo. "I was wondering if they would use the photo privately, and it turns out no, they released it in public." He sighs. "It was like... they were nice people but I wondered if they just wanted to be famous. That's why I wasn't like 'fight! fight! fight!'" Ancel mimes shaking his fist. "We weren't used to that, that's the first time anyone has turned up here."
A second photo was taken with Ancel's co-workers, but it wasn't until after the visitors had left that anyone in the studio asked if they'd been told to keep the pictures private. "After they left we realised 'have we asked them not to put the picture on Facebook?'" Emile chuckles. "And we were like, 'um, no'."

Re: Rayman Legends
Here's some dev commentary on Rayman Fiesta Run:
Re: Rayman Legends
I want Windows 8 version.
Re: Rayman Legends
I'm sure it won't get as many updates as Android and iOS did with Jungle Run, so i guess i'll go with either one of those versions, but i'd need to get an Android or iOS first. Unless i'll go with the solution to buy the Win 8 version ( and maybe record it ) and download some other version for free from some source...OldClassicGamer wrote:I want Windows 8 version.

I have an issue trying to record VMWare. Bandicam and DXtory wont detect it.

Re: Rayman Legends
I think the Windows 8 version is also coming out on November 7th, so don't worry.
Also, according to what I understand, the game will have 160 levels in it, if you include the invasion levels.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, that's over double the amount of levels Jungle Run has, very impressive. If they can one-up the likes of Jungle Run, which did obtain quite the lofty reputation, then perhaps Rayman might gain a hold in the mobile app market, which would be very good for him and Ubi indeed.
