Ah, they speak of Series 8, but we still have the 50th Anniversary Special and the X-Mas special to go out on this year.
< would just love it if they'd return to the Series 1-5 structure, 13 episodes, March to June, that's the way < liked it.
However, < didn't mind the batch of 6 structure for Series 6, 6 in spring, 6 in autumn, it was a nice spread for <, it's the Series 7 structure that is grating <.

< is really annoyed by the split seasons - just when you're getting into it, it ends abruptly with a neat little message "see you next year!!!" It's disgustingly demotivating - but then it is one of my favourite (if not the favourite) series, so I deal with it.

Well, Series 7 is over, all there is now is 50th and Xmas specials.
< has read that we might get 13 eps next year, which is good, < would like to see normality restored in scheduling.
