Oh,man I was hoping so much Fiesta Run will solve this Bad Rayman/Dark Rayman/DarkRay/Raymesis thing.Bionichute wrote:So far, Rayman, Globox, Green Teensy, GlobRay, and Red Globox. I've counted 8 characters, and I'm assuming DarkRay/Raymesis is playable, because he's one of the wallpaper images. Though there he's called "Rayman Alter Ego". So that's like, what, the 5th name DarkRay's gotten?Bradandez wrote:Who are the playable characters?

Re: Rayman Legends
Okay, so between all my work I went out of my way to see what was new in Fiesta Run.

- There's no new music for RayTunes. Sad face.

- There are some new graphics. Mostly minor things, like how every Rayman skin has a different guitar. Here's a collection of all the graphics in the iOS version of the game. The wallpapers don't seem to be included, I'll try to get them as soon as I get my hands on the Android version of the game.
- Here's the script. You can get some useful stuff for the wiki from it, like the level names. Also, Raymesis. He's called Raymesis when you unlock him, but "Rayman alter ego" in the gallery. I guess that means Raymesis is Rayman's alter ego.
Re: Rayman Legends
How much mb Is the game?
Can i install it on SD card?

Re: Rayman Legends
Is there any description for the characters?
Re: Rayman Legends
Now it all makes sense. Raymesis and Rayman are same, while DarkRay is of course created by Mr. Dark. Invasion levels in Legends make more sense now as well.Drolpiraat wrote:I guess that means Raymesis is Rayman's alter ego.

Re: Rayman Legends
Wait, so Raymesis is just Rayman taking time out of his life to mock his Dark counterpart?
Re: Rayman Legends
Seems like it.
Re: Rayman Legends
Well, that would be terribly awkward, if that is the case. Does Ancel and/or the development team want to have any consistency or reason for anything in the Glade anymore?
By the way, has anyone seen Fiesta Run on the Windows Store? It still has yet to be uploaded, last I checked.

Re: Rayman Legends
I think all indications of continuity have long passed, frankly, I find it surprising that I still endeavour to make sense of it at times.

It's not yet sadly. I hope it will be soon.Disionity wrote:Well, that would be terribly awkward, if that is the case. Does Ancel and/or the development team want to have any consistency or reason for anything in the Glade anymore?

Re: Rayman Legends
Game franchises like this in general, tend to have little non-canon things for the hell of it. Remember Shadow the Hedgehog and how you had to get 10 non-canon endings to get the real ending (most of which cannot even co-exist with the real ending)? :V
And if I'm not mistaken, doesn't the RayWiki already say that Sir Rayelot is a Rayman alter ego (it may have changed, but it did once say that)?
Because I already took Raymesis as an alter ego, because of that wiki page - I just assumed the name for skins in this game was really "alter egos".

Re: Rayman Legends
True, but they've also made me yearn for some details, one in particular being the origins of the Robo-Pirates, and you have to admit, there's an idea with quite a bit of potential, given their offworld status.
Meh, at the end of the day, RayWiki is run by the community, it can be aggravating making sense of things like this for it.

Re: Rayman Legends
For me, it's the same, but without the yearning. As I am sure people can guess from some recent posts of mine in this topic, I do really think Rayman 2's story left a lot to be desired for me. I don't consider it bad, more than I do...unfinished, really. It's more simple than it should of been. It's obvious they wanted to do more with that Rayman universe (don't know if that's the most appropriate term here, actually, but I'll go with it), but due to Ancel leaving Rayman for a while to focus on Beyond Good & Evil and then the Rabbids, it just kind of got left in the dust. And by the time Ancel got around to Rayman Origins (which itself had a lot of messing around with the story by the time it was released, going from being a prequel, to being a "sequel"), Rayman 2 was, well...irrelevant, beyond getting ports. Not to mention that those ports likely have nothing to do with Ancel at all (I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't find out about all of them until they are released).
So while I do really think they had a keeper with the world of Rayman 2, it's only because it had potential, not because what was already there was perfect and needed no further expansion. Heck, if the latter was the case, I don't think any of us would really ask for a direct sequel, in fear of them tainting the original game's image.
Though, as I've said, I'd really love if they made a Rayman cartoon that blended Origins, Legends, and Rayman 2 into the one series, with the Rayman 2 adaption being the finale. I think that could really help satisfy people who loved the world of Rayman 2 - by having a build up to it's events.
But, I won't lose sleep over them not touching the Rayman 2 lore again. It'd be brilliant if they did. But Rayman, for me, has mechanics, atmosphere, visuals, and soundtrack as the most important elements. These things can be amazing without much story, and Legends already succeeded in doing that for me. Which is why I want just one more game to succeed Legends directly, to see what they have left in store for us with that formula. I'd be tired with that formula after that, though, and I would want them to move onto the third dimension at that point. Especially if a Legends sequel included a level maker, therefore giving that game endless replayability.

Re: Rayman Legends
Damn it, it just got released and i can't play it because i don't have a good enough device and i can't even play it on Windows 8 because it isn't there in the store.
I tried to install the apk in Windroy android emulator but it force closes after licence check, seems like i have to wait and get a new phone.
I would buy it, but i don't yet know what kind of phone will i have, i want an iPhone 4, but a Windows Phone would be good as well ( no way i'm getting an android phone )

Well, here you go, the "wallpapers" from the gallery: https://app.box.com/s/5nf6t1ze49vg536ntsq5
How utterly unrewarding. At least Jungle Run had new artwork. :/

It seems Ubi simply can't decide if Raymesis has yellow eyes or he has orange eyes.

Re: Rayman Legends
So I got Fiesta Run and played it for a while.
It's a nice little mobile game, like Jungle Run. Nothing amazing, but there are a few nice new additions. Mostly just stuff that's in most mobile auto-runner games though.

Clara offered me the game. I will tell my first impression after I try it out time enough.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, should a topic be made for Fiesta Run (and maybe it could double as a topic for Jungle Run, because they are very similar)?
