Was it ever intended to have the hoodlums empowered by the cans? For example: the Shock Rocket could be fired and require rayman to dodge.

You know what, I like to think the different types of hoodlums are when they use the cans.Gamerking wrote:Was it ever intended to have the hoodlums empowered by the cans? For example: the Shock Rocket could be fired and require rayman to dodge.

I'd agree. They use them but it seems like it affects each user differently.

I've wondered that myself, but IMO I don't even think they use the cans

The cans make no sense at all in relation to the Hoodlums we face, so I'd imagine they were conceived at a very early stage in the game's development.

I think they just needed a power up system and there's no way they use them.

Well one could debate the Hoodlums (with the dollar signs) had the cans in their pockets, perhaps when down on life they could retreat and utilize the cans?spiraldoor wrote:The cans make no sense at all in relation to the Hoodlums we face

Maybe the cans don't work as power ups for them and they can simply use them to wash their clothes? A giant laundry level was scrapped from the final game but early in the development it would have seemed that the detergents occupied a more central role in the game.

Good thinking, oh leader Hunch. I just had an idea that the cans were always used by Hoodlums off screen, to help them get to the places where you find them hanging about. They never really thought about using them for battle like Rayman did, and only used them for washing their own clothes in the Aquatic World and as a form of transportation wherever else.

Have we got any screenshots or information on this? The Ghost of Hunchman801 wrote:A giant laundry level was scrapped from the final game but early in the development

Both Spiral and Hunch have got good points, although I had a strange theory in mind: what if the Lavicrafts were using them to wash clothes or perhaps washing the clothes of the Hoodlums to "upgrade" them? I know, it is odd.
