Filename Hell: Program to Help Solve This?
What I basically want to do is rip the 16-bit audio sounds from PlayStation version of Resident Evil, and stick them in the PC version. However, there is an extremely large number of these sounds, that are all unnamed or have a different name on the PlayStation, and it would be nice if there was a program that would compare the two audio files, and rename the .wav PlayStation rips accordingly, so the filenames of the PC version files and the PlayStation rips would match.
Sorry if I wrote this in a somewhat confusing manner, but, hopefully, you can figure out what I mean.

I know that a program could be written that would do this, but I'm wondering if there is a program that already does this, saving people the time of having to write one specifically for this purpose.

Considering how much effort it has to be brought to develop such a software, you better do the stuff manually. I doubt that there exists such a software.
