Where's the source for the DLC?

The Steam menu for the game has a DLC option, I think.

I'd take this with a pinch of salt, myself. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed had the same thing happen recently, but it hasn't amounted to anything yet.

But I am still hoping for something (in the case of both games), either way.

All-Star Racing Transformed did have DLC, though. The Football Manager, General Winter, and I think one other character. These were only for the PC version, though.

Huh, I noticed there's some blood splatted on the wall in the wince cellar.

There was also $2 Metal Sonic DLC if I rememer correctly. I think it was $2. I know I purchased him.

Oh yeah, Metal Sonic and the OutRun Bay stage, too. And those were things you had to pay for.

It isn't. Michel showed those pictures before. He said "Sorry... maybe next time". It was during that small presentation where naked Rayman was first showcased. Can't believe you don't remember that :P

But yeah, sadly, it's not DLC, it is scrapped content.

Oh yeah, you're right. You know, I posted so many videos in my channel that I tend to forget a good portion of them. :oops2:

So yeah... that was the scrapped Mansion level I was talking about.

Too bad, it looked stunning. Maybe that was the level with the "vampires" Amazon.com was talking about.

Hm, so it's pretty much confirmed that at least one more Rayman game will be made in UbiART.

Note how I said "recently".

The Metal Sonic & Outrun Bay DLC was a pre-order bonus on all console versions of the game (except Wii U, where you get it on the disc), and PC, later released as regular DLC.

The bonus characters for the PC version were not DLC. They were added as part of patches.

However, just last week, I believe, a new DLC slot appeared for the game, separate from the Metal Sonic DLC. People have been looking into it to see what it might be, though nothing concrete has surfaced yet. The most common speculation is that this will be adding the characters that people asked for in a particular poll that was held months ago (which means we would most definitely get Hatsune Miku as a character in the game, as she was highly requested).

EDIT: Just checked for any more updates on that situation:

Steve Lycett spoke up about the issue on Twitter.

He summed the issue up as something new is coming to ASRT, but not something we could not possibly expect.

So yeah, ASRT will be getting more content, it seems.

Now, I wonder what this means for Rayman Legends...

That also means we'll get Segata Sanshiro, right? And the Shemue guy? All I can hope is that they bring the next character to the console versions.

If I recall correctly, during an interview an Ubiart developer said that there's more in the future for Rayman. This pretty much confirms that the next Rayman game will be Ubiart-ish too.

I just hope the Ubi-Art games don't become the "New" Super Mario Bros of the series.

Meh, as similar as Legends is to Origins, I doubt the Rayman franchise will ever fall into the realms of being excessively formulaic, it's one of the nicer aspects of the series.

I don't mind a third game, but if they make a fourth one, they're milking it.

I'll be inclined to agree there, though a nice little spin on the Origins formula, like Twinsanity's spin to the Crash formula, could keep things fresh yet familiar.
