Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
And I'll say this again:
The web-based section of UbiSoft has nothing to do with the games-making section. Just because one is unreliable, it doesn't mean the other is.
The game-making section makes announcements, and they're under a lot of pressure to make what they say happen.
The reason that UbiSoft took so long to get us forums again is because Rayman currently isn't financially important - They're not loosing customers at the moment. When Rayman 4 images etc. are published, they'll care a lot more about us.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Rayman games may not be having customers, but the forums are. Loads of people left because they never thought the forums would return.
Even if they aren't anything to do with each other, they are still UbiSoft connected.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
The only people left in the Forums are the true fans who're going to buy Rayman 4 anyway.
And your last statement is rather prejudiced... They really don't have that much to do with each other.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
You were the one who started saying they were nothing to do with each other..
And I think saying that the people who have returned to RaymanZone are true fans and want to get Rayman 4 is a bit harsh. Some people there don't like Rayman, but the company of other users.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I think it's true, and many others on the boards have said it too.
99% of the people on the boards now are hardcore Rayman fans from the old RZ forums, who'd buy any next Rayman game, forums or not.
And how is saying that two groups of people who have nothing to do with each other are different is prejudiced? It's the opposite, surely.

You were the one who said it was prejudice.
And anyway, I'm sure most people on the forums now would want to buy Rayman games, but the odd one or two are there just for the company. Don't you agree with that?? For example, Ren.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
But UbiSoft has no idea about anyone called 'Ren'
.
They don't go into such tiny details...
And I don't see how saying something is prejudiced is prejudice 0_0.
You're classifying everyone from UbiSoft (including art directors, Michel Ancel etc.) as a bunch of lazy idiots, which they oviously aren't.
I agree entirely that some people from UbiSoft are, but you can't start steriotyping about these things...
It's annoying that certain members of UbiSoft are so lazy, really. A lot of people in these forums at least now think that the rest of UbiSoft is as lazy, which is wrong...

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
That cannot be proven until Rayman 4 comes out.
But clearly the forums are not well-looked after.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Well, wasn't it proven that UbiSoft Rayman team aren't lazy when the instant hit Rayman 2 was released? And almost all of those also worked on Rayman 3, which was also a blockbuster...
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
That was the past. When Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 came out Rayman was one of the most popular games. At that time UbiSoft cared about the game. After that, the Rayman customers just decreaced rapidly. Why? Because there were no updates. And if there are no updates, people will think UbiSoft don't care about Rayman anymore.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
You really don't seem to know much about the games industry 0_o.
The customers haven't decreased rapidly (although they have of course decreased), just the number of people in the forums.
Anyway, Rayman 4 is being hushed up - We're practically guaranteed that by sources etc. That's why we aren't getting any info. They might suddenly want a load of publicity on Rayman's 10th - Perhaps they're planning for some crazy stunt like that?
Don't forget that he is their official mascot and most French people recognise him.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Ryan, you have absolutely no evidence at all that UbiSoft are even in the process (yes, I know they are but listen,) of making Rayman 4.
You can't just jump in and start argueing that UbiSoft is making a game.
The only tiny resource we have is them telling us themselves. But that's not concrete evidence. UbiSoft (especially UbiRazz, RaymanZone admin) are utter liars. And you know that.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I am amazed at this... 0_0
Okay:
Number 1: In the Webchat with the makers of Rayman 3, I ask one of them, 'will there be a Rayman 4', and they say yes.
Number 2: Darkam gives us an official and specific post. He was given that piece of information by someone working on it. He isn't allowed to just make guessed statements which are released to the press, eg. IGN got hold of this story, so did quite a few others. Admins are employed by UbiSoft to do a lot more than manage forums, you know...
Number 3: Rayman is UbiSoft's mascot and a massive money maker for them - Up there with the elite. Prince of Persia etc.
Number 4: Michel Ancel himself says that the Rayman 4 team have certain tasks ahead of them.
Number 5: A piece of secret information that I'm not allowed to share with anybody. (No sarcasm...)
So there we go... Isn't that enough evidence that Rayman 4 is under way?
I've searched for a long time about all of this stuff... Plus, remember the fact that I might not post everything I know.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Do you listen?
Firstly, I said that I did know UbiSoft were making the game.
You also should know that just with admins or what telling you, doesn't mean it's evidence.
I already said that UbiSoft are liars. They lied about when RaymanZone would be back. They weren't active. They are far more bothered about Prince of Persia or the more newly designed games than Rayman.
I do however have evidence of this. Simple, Prince of Persia has a lot more games than Rayman does. And, Prince of Persia games take only about half a year to make each game. Rayman takes almost three.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Yes! You said that the Darkam post was our only piece of evidence, which it isn't.Xenon09 wrote:Do you listen?.
My post was just disproving the statement, "The only tiny resource we have is them telling us themselves". I never said that I thought you didn't believe it was underway.
Did you listen?
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Well, I said that that evidence isn't good evidence. And it isn't.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
><
It has nothing to do with the Admins, some of whom can be entirely incompotent.
They're just the messengers. The Rayman 4 team are the source of the information.
But even if that piece of evidence didn't exist, as I just showed you: There are plenty more.
Let's move on from this slightly pointless discussion now...
Who thinks that Michel will have quite a large part in shaping the more important parts of the game?

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
But Darkam could be lieing. He also lied about the RaymanZone.
Okay, let's move on.
Okay, let's move on.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I don't have much faith in that anymore. First we know he should be working on a sequel to BG&E, and now we also find out he was working on another project all the time, 'king kong'. Nope, I won't expect anything.Xeiqu wrote:><
