The only Pixar movie that truly deserves a sequel is The incredibles imo, still hoping Monsters University and Finding Dory are more Toy Story 2 than cars 2.

Milking your greatest franchises is actually the best thing you can do, provided that you do it well. Who knows, maybe those two movies will be great?

Over the past month or so ive been revisiting alot of Disney classics I watched as a kid, to see if I still liked them as much and if my favorites had changed upon viewing them as an "adult".I found that most of my favorites stayed the same but a few that i watched alot like Aristocats, or 101 Dalmatians, I just don't really care for anymore. The main ones I like the best are Lion King, Beauty and The Beast, Pinnochio, Fantasia (appreciate his more now that im older), Mulan, Hercules, Treasure Planet, the Jungle Book and quite a few others. I also watched the Nostalgia critics disneycemebr and seriously don't get the hate for Hercules.. it has some of the best songs, characters, humor and the greatest Disney Villain imo, I keep seeing people posting how bad this movie is or how its a "guilty pleasure". It has an 84% critic rating on rotten tomatoes based on like 50 critics so it was far from hated critically, I seriously don't understand, anyone here seen this and what do you think of it? Also i rewatched The Brave Little Toaster like twice and its still probably my favorite animated film ever :D

Hercules is in my opinion, not bad at all for one of the last Disney movies using 2D. Of course, Aladdin which was released around the same period (middle of the 90's) was for me better in terms of balance between story, humour, music, and magic. But Hercules is not that bad.

I mean, considering all the Disney movies I have seen so far, especially the last ones, I don't see how people can hate one of them. At least, say that you don't mind or you don't care because "it's a Disney, meh not horrible but can do better than this...".

Oh, Hades. He's one of my favourite Disney villains. But this one is probably my top favourite:

Suddenly I remember... I still haven't got to see Emperor's New Groove! I will now smash my head against the wall and crush my skull, goodbye.

It's a great movie, it breaks the rules of a regular disney movie but... it's still pretty hilarious!

Be Prepared. Oh, the instrumentation, the ascending fourths, Jeremy Irons' voice, so much green, the visuals, it's all so wonderfully perfect.

I have one or two other favourites as well, but because I'm a drowsy plonk, I can't remember what they are.

EDIT:

I think one of them is from Hercules. Agh, I'll remember later.

It's powerful, it's terrifying, far from kid-friendly and that's what makes it so great. There's also a lot of instrumental background music I like. Especially intense "OH SHIT" ones are the most memorable to me.

Oh yeah, and "Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan. That's an amazing song.

Was just about to post the Hellfire and The Huns Attack is amazing. Also I kinda like "Savages" from Pocahontas, It's powerful too, methinks. Other than these I think it might be Be Prepared. I'm sure I'm forgetting something too.

So much yes, if there's one song I always like having in my head, it's that one.

Right then, are we talking music in general or just songs?
In general, this is the only one that I can clearly remember atm:

Two Worlds from Tarzan is another one I really like.

And I used to always sing "Can't Wait to be King" from The Lion King.

Love both those soundtracks, in terms of actual songs pretty much anything from Lion King 1 + 2 and Hercules.

So, who plans to see Frozen? I'm gonna go see it mainly because of the Mickey Mouse short, but I'm sure the movie will be pretty good too.
