Then explain how is GameCube emulation supported with upscaling game quality and using Classic Controller to play it if Wii U is hacked. PS3 was 2 generations aged and it plays PS2 and PS1 through hardware.

IIRC, the PS3 emulates to play PS1 discs. For the PS2, if it's a fat, then it uses onboard components to play actual PS2 games, otherwise, the only games that work are those modified ones on PSN that are made to work for the PS3.

The american PS3 has all needed chips but the european is missing one and needs to be emulated. And only the launch model (60GB Model) supports PS2 games while other fat models don't.

I called Nintendo's customer service to get answers about it and.. surprisingly I got them? This decision is not related to Swapnote's sad case of pedophiles at all. They're simply making the watered down version of Miiverse that Smartphones and PC's already have. They want the Wii U's Miiverse to be the definitive version. Why? I don't really know, man... but if there's enough demand, maybe, and JUST MAYBE, the 3ds might be able to have a second "definitive version".

Meh, petitions. I've always been rather sceptical on them, they work wonders in some situations, but from what I've seen, for the majority you can get all the names in the world and no-one cares.

You guys do realise that if you want to make a change to Miiverse - or just want to make any request towards Nintendo - Miiverse ITSELF is your best tool, right? It'd go a lot farther than making a petition.

The reason Earthbound came to Virtual Console in the West is because Western users went onto the Japanese Miiverse and basically bombarded the Japanese Earthbound Community with "Bring Earthbound to the West!" posts. Satoru Iwata literally showed these posts off in a Nintendo Direct, and explained that Nintendo does pay attention to Miiverse. He's also talked about other decisions Nintendo made due to Miiverse activity in various other Nintendo Directs.

Hey guys, I'm back after a month's hiatus. I've been dealing with some family issues, school, and some mental distortion/depression of my own. I really want to apologize if anything I did before said hiatus offended anyone...

...on to the topic at hand though, I'm sure if the 3ds gets a big enough miiverse fanbase we'll get some cool exclusive stuff as well.

Yeah, i'm here to stay. its probably not as bad as I make it sound but then again, a rather big flaw of mine is that I rarely express myself, especially when I feel hurt and depressed; but I digress, this isn't the daily doldrums thread and I really don't think anyone currently wants my autobiography. so have you guys seen Thor2? getting the next Zelda? I honestly missed you guys, you often are a highlight to my day and a reminder that humanity isn't 100% fudged with our rapidly changing world. :D

But rapidly changing worlds are great! Also oui, I've seen Thor 2. I didn't like the first one a whole lot aside from some hilarious scenes, but the second installment is great, definitely an improvement in every way, and once again makes for some of the best popcorn entertainment this year.

Like..

I myself found this scene ridiculous when re-watching some days before watching Thor 2.

"HOW DARE YOU ATTACK THE SON OF ODIN?"

Thor 2 was awesome and felt better in storytelling and holding the atmosphere. And could still throw some jokes in here and there. Some think it was kinda lame to make the Dark Elf being total Sci-fi in a Norse Mythology story/film, well you get it. But I myself didn't give it so much thought. But I when I do I have mixed thoughts about it. It's norse mythologi, but then again the Marvel Universe so.

Hm, I see, strike and attack are interchangeable anyways, it's like me being pedantic when people refer to The Doctor as "Doctor Who."

I literally just said: it probably doesn't work well with as many games necessary for it to be a supported feature. I didn't say it wouldn't work at all.

I'll keep my Wii and Gamecube around for my gamecube games. :)

The Wii and Wii U sit next to each other under my TV right now. GameCube is at my classic gaming area.

Well to tell the truth, I only seen Mario Sunshine ans Melee as example so can't talk about compatibility.

Easy for you when you have best room any gamer could wish for. I barely have space but I guess I could fit PS4 and Wii U
Too bad SNES and Famiclone are in my brother's room because of lack of space.
