That would be the case for my dog as well.

I knew we had a pet thread before. Anyways, I'll post some pics later of my own pets.

So much pink in there...
She looks unamused, to say the least.

I have an adult cat, a female.

I found her wounded in my garden some years ago.
I decided to take care of her, and since, she lives with my family.

She was in my sisters' room so that explains the pinkness. And yes she is rather grumpy but she's a damn good and loyal guard dog.

That's a touching story, nice to see some kindness to animals.

Reminds me how we took care of a big black stray cat years ago, it wasn't staying with us since it was used being outside and because we already had a cat. Though after a while of giving her food she came and put dead birds and mouses in front of our door as a thanks for giving her food since its what cat does when they want to thank you. She did that for 3 months in a row until we found out she drowned in our pool, poor thing. :|

ouch :|

We took care of a white cat that always looked scruffy and we believed was homeless. We didn't keep it inside and it didn't want too either but it did keep showing up for, I dunno, 4 or 5 years? There were a ton of cats in our place and it was the only that got along with ours so that was nice too. Then it got ill and we even took it to the hospital where it ended up dying. Turned that this cat was from the man who lived in front of us. What a fucking piece of a shit. His cat didn't look like it was ever being given food nor did he ever take the cat back inside at night (It often slept our front yard) and he wasn't even aware of the fact that his cat was seriously ill. Why get a pet when your gonna not even caring enough to notice the poor thing is dying?

That's horrible, a pet should be treated like its your own child or sibling, with care and attention, but also with room for themselves, they're not to be neglected like that.

How'd the family grow? Were they born or did you get them?

I adopted a fifth since the cat's original owner passed away and he needed a new home. He is orange-stripped with green eyes.

He was very stressed and obviously not trusting in people, but he is a little more calm now.

Hm, hopefully he can adjust and come to terms with the loss, I guess losing someone you trust can be stressful for pets as well as humans.
