Hah, I can beg to differ. You know how 'macho men' care about dick sizes and are proud of themselves? It's like that, but multiplied by ten times, and far more public. I can say this in complete honesty as someone who used to want this and is well-acquainted with many people who are like this.
Pffft what? I guess that's something that purely the macho men want, because I honestly couldn't care less about the size. In fact I'd be pretty fucking rubbish if I did.

It's relevant because Gwee's description of what she thinks about romance sounded less like disinterest alone, and more like disinterest as a result of not "getting" it and connecting with the idea of romance (e.g the part of her post you underlined). If she wasn't asexual, I'd challenge her statement a little. But because she is, there's no point, because she literally does not connect with the notion of a sexual relationship, as she can't seem to feel it herself (I'm saying this based on her asexual status, only she knows whether or not she's ever felt these things, of course). I myself am currently disinterested in a relationship, though I am heterosexual.

My personal view of love and romance, as a whole, is that it can't really be interpreted in the most universal of ways. There are many different forms of it, and many different interpretations of these forms of love. It's a topic I will discuss, though not really argue per se. I think it's beyond us, as a race, to be able to comprehend it in a definitive way, and discuss it purely with logic and reasoning. It's a feeling, after all, based on emotions. It's for this reason that when a lot of people ask "how do you know if you're in love?", the answer is "you just know".

@Sonicbrawler: I'll respond to that a little bit later in a different post, as I have to head off for a while.

Actually, you misunderstood what I said. Let me fix my quote:

Just for note, I do find the size to be quite an attractive thing (though not unconditionally), and I, like said before, am very femme, and am the furthest thing from a macho man. I can't help what I happen to like, can I? ;)

Onto what I was saying earlier about me being childish, I'm not far different from an child in an adolescent's body, honestly. The only real differences are my body as well as my intellect. Onward though, I tend to come off as childish often at least in my mind. My speech and overall behavior. Tend to become pretty childish when alone and will let a shred of my childish personality out when I'm feeling comfortable, but otherwise I tend to repress my starving inside child when with others. However, if I'm in a situation involving both adults and children I will with no hesitation go on the children's side and play with them as if I'm their age. In fact, I can only think of one time when I've been with a kid outside of a school setting in which I haven't played with them, I was too preoccupied with the Internet to pay much attention to them which I regret.

A note too, even though my intellect is far ahead of a young kid's my behavior when it comes to social situations and such is not that developed. I might come off as childish when in situations involving socializing, feelings, or others in general, but this is due to my Autism. Might end up being a bit lost in those scenarios, like a sort of scared and lost animal or child. Interestingly enough though, I can relate to kids and adults much more than other adolescents, however if I'm in a situation where I can hang around with either of the three groups I will more than likely choose kids or adolescents. While there certainly are more youth-like in behavior or fun adults, most of them are not interesting enough for me, and most children feel the same way too.

I could go on and on but I've said enough, I take.

Well, it sure was interesting for me reading all the recent posts here.
I dunno why but I always like reading different views of anything in general.

If they want to commit to one another and have children without the idea of sex for sex's sake, all the better. It's just not for me.
Why do you believe this to be the case, out of curiosity? Can an intimate relationship not simply be a strong friendship with sexuality thrown into the mix?
I suppose. But it seems a bit strange to me. I've never seen that among people I've met, so I don't really know how I'd feel about that kind of thing. Not to say I don't think it wouldn't work. I've just never seen nor experienced it before.

Not really, no. Not that I can remember, anyway. I just never found the idea appealing for my own self. In fact, most of my school career, I stayed away from boys because their immature behavior, which I know is a give-in, I found to be very--for lack of a better word--uncouth. Many of the girls I encountered in middle school and high school also exhibited immature behavior. I was also teased a lot by both genders, mostly boys, for reasons I'd rather not say. Basically, nobody gave me a reason to like them on a romantic level at all. And the thought of possibly being intimate with any of my guy friends never crossed my mind. It was just never a thing with me.

I'm a bit confused? You mean sexually or as a preference (for your own size)? If the former, then what sexual preference do you have?

(This is getting a bit awkward, isn't it?)

Perhaps, but it's a bit annoying that you feel the need to boon people for an interesting (albeit off-topic) discussion that just so happened to crop up in this thread. That happens all the time and this forum, and really isn't anything new. In other words, no one gives a shit.

That's because adolescents are assholes!

I mean, on someone else, I was talking about what I'm attracted to, so the former I suppose. What do you mean by 'what sexual preference' though?

Go backseat moderate a forum you weren't just temporarily banned on, you fuckwad. I'll move the conversation there after it's done, and if I feel it's necessary.

By sexual preference, I meant do you lean toward guys or girls?

EDIT: Severe edits to my post to make it somewhat less awkward. :P

Adolescence is pretty much the ages of about 12-17, possibly the shittiest part of life.
