Re: Rayman 3
Interesting indeed, I look forward to testing it, how's it coming up in game?
Re: Rayman 3
I have got to a stage where almost everything is fixed in game. The only problem is all 2D sprites (except the healthbar) are positioned to the left of the screen as if it were still 4:3. At least everything is usable/viewable now.

Re: Rayman 3
I noticed that cheatengine icon. Will the end user need to own cheat engine to do this?
Re: Rayman 3
No, it'll be a separate program. I'm just using Cheat Engine to make it.

Re: Rayman 3
Oooh I didn't know you can create a seperate program with cheat engine. Anyway you seem to be an action replay professionalist! But you know, if you know the addresses you can just hexedit the application and wouldn't that be much easier? The user just then need to replace a file.

Re: Rayman 3
I'm looking forward to this, we will finally have a much less glitchy version of Rayman 3 HD with fixed HUD, and textures that aren't super pixelated along with Razorbeard and the other robots from Rayman 2 not having messed up textures...
Though I would love to have shorts as a beard.
The only thing is, aren't some cutscenes in Rayman 3 barely synced with the sound? Didn't the HD version fix that or something?

Re: Rayman 3
GOOD NEWS:
I finally got Rayman 3 to run completely smooth with x32 resolution and 32bit uncompressed textures.

Great. What was the main problem?

Re: Rayman 3
Not really sure, but I used d3doverrider to make it force triple buffering and vsync. Works like a charm at 60fps for the whole time. Now all I need is the widescreen fix when it comes out.OldClassicGamer wrote:Great. What was the main problem?
Also, let's say that rayman shouldn't be allowed to jump to where the barrel is, or this happens:
His hair is gone.
Also no hands.

Cool. What are all the options of d3doverrider?

Re: Rayman 3
Well there's "application detection level" which seems to do nothing except take away the settings when at low. At the moment the settings are only Triple Buffering and Vsync. I turned them both on and now the game runs completely smooth at x32 resolution along with 32bit textures. Not even a single frame drop.OldClassicGamer wrote:Cool. Re: Rayman 3
Quick update on the widescreen patch: it will be delayed slightly, but will also fix other issues such as controllers not working properly.

Ah, ok. Fair enough though, if it's not to standard, it's not to standard. Keep it up though!

No problem, I can wait.RibShark wrote:Quick update on the widescreen patch: it will be delayed slightly, but will also fix other issues such as controllers not working properly.

Re: Rayman 3
If you refer to the PC version, they're saved in a folder, I can't remember whereabouts though.

Any update on progress of your patch for new 2014 RibShark?
Re: Rayman 3
I took a small break at Christmas but I'm going to carry on working on it now.
