Nice for them. I happen to own the original PS1 editions of the two games (and two legal digital copies of PC).
About the japanese commercial, I knew it. I love how it is nothing related with the game.

Re: The Oddworld Topic
Yeah, though I'm working on a superior one. The current one's got some weird pacing in places, and I want to show off more of the game's environments.
Funny how quickly we got back on topic.

Re: The Oddworld Topic
Can't wait to check it out once you do it.
Re: The Oddworld Topic
I finally completed Abe's Oddysee tonight. I rescued 98 of 99 Mudokons (darn it)
.
Re: The Oddworld Topic
Yeah, but I've only encountered you here on RPC before! When you made that thread on OWF I spent days trying to figure out where I recognized that username from and then I roll onto here and OH, OH YEAH, THAT'S WHERE I RECOGNIZED IT FROM. It was quite an adventure.El Dango wrote:I'm everywhere dude!Slogbait wrote:I am so excited for New 'N' Tasty, you guys don't even KNOW.

That happened to me the last time I played AO. It kind of wounded my pride because I thought I had the game memorized, and that was the first time since I was about 10 I wasn't able to rescue them all the first go. I still don't even know which one I missed.Disionity wrote:I finally completed Abe's Oddysee tonight. I rescued 98 of 99 Mudokons (darn it).
Re: The Oddworld Topic
It reminds me of when I replayed the game last year. I missed 2 or 3 I think, and it was the checkpoint system/saving's fault. If you mess up in Paramonia or in Scrabania you can easily leave Mudokons behind even though you rescued them before. I got mad.Disionity wrote:I finally completed Abe's Oddysee tonight. @Slogbait Good to see you in here again! I'm also pretty excited about the remake!

Re: The Oddworld Topic
Great remix of the Mosaic Lines tune. The drums are more present than in the original track.
Re: The Oddworld Topic
Does anyone know when the PS Vita version of Munch's Oddysee HD will release? I believe it was expected to release in Q2 2013, but was delayed until this year. In November, the developer, Just Add Water, alluded that the port was still in the works, and that it was intended to be submitted into Sony Computer Entertainment's Quality Assurance program very soon. Either way an update on something from Oddworld Inhabitants would be nice, I understand they're quite occupied at the moment, but granted one update a month on the development of New N' Tasty and/or other projects would be delightful.
On another note, I finally acquired a copy of Abe's Exoddus, (the PS1 version), I have made it through the first disc and onto the Slig Barracks. To be honest I'm a tad disappointed considering how much Exoddus has been raved incessantly on about how much better it is than Abe's Oddysee. While in terms of gameplay, I'd definitely agree, they expanded and improved on the mechanics from the original in every possible way. I wish the emotional Mudokons would be used more frequently and thoughtfully though, other than to make some puzzles more challenging. Abe's Oddysee offered far more intrigue and atmosphere for me, personally, not to mention every part of the world in AO felt seamlessly hostile while holding a strange sense tranquility and mystery as well. Especially when comparing the intro for both games, the intro for AO offers a large amount of intrigue and sets the stage for an odd adventure of epic proportions, whereas the intro for Exodus is more humorous. Abe's Exodus is most certainly not a bad game, I really do love it so far, but it just doesn't hold the same feelings of intrigue that Oddysee did.
EDIT: I also got the Vita version of Stranger's Wrath HD for free through PS Plus. I really haven't gotten around to playing it though.
